I really want the Mark IV and a couple other sets so what’s the fastest way you guys know to get reqs I’ve been playing war zone and I got most of the firefight commendations just not the win firefight one’s let me know and thanks for the assistance
Mythic Firefight gives the most, without boosts in the shortest amount of time.
Warzone assault and swat give the most per hour. On weekends you can give mythic a whirl

Even if we fail I’ve never had luck with mythic
Not trying to be rude or anything, but you’re SR28. It’s obvious you’re on your common-rare grind. The best solution to getting the helmet you wanted that’s ultra rare to legendary is clearing off those common to rates until you recieve a 3000 REQ points refund from those silvers REQ packs you opened.
Trust me, it’s the fastest way to earn the helmet you wanted that’s ultra rare to legendary.

Yes. Finish silvers then do gold packs.

I aim to please. Good luck on your silver grind. Long road, but its the quickest way through the REQ system.
I alternated silver and gold req packs for a while and that worked, and after a few more months I have almost evry single Ultra Rare certification and I’m working on my legendaries… the elusive Phaeton Certification…

Keep in mind you’ll know when you’re done with silver packs, you’ll starting getting NO permanent unlocks from the silver req packs. Then it’s time to move on to gold!

I agree with everyone up top. I went your route and just went straight Gold up until lvl 30-40 ish. Then I realized I was doing it all wrong. I’m a lvl 136 and still have a ways to go to unlock everything, but I’m getting there. I’ve met people who are my lvl and have everything unlocked already because they started out the proper way. I actually unlocked all bronze, then silver, and now Gold. I suggest skip the bronze and knock out all your Silvers.

Just click on the 34X + 13 extra Gold Pack Bundle option, enter your credit card information, and you’re all set!
Jkjkjkjk. Kidding aside - I definitely recommend doing firefight to get that last win commendation. It’s worth the reward at the end, and you can skate by in Heroic using ghosts, wraiths, mid tier tanks. WZFF can be very rewarding REQ point-wise. If you start to get tired of WZFF, do some SWAT. It’s the best Arena gametype for REQ points because the games are so short, and is a good place to knock out some other commendations (like ground pounds, Spartan charges, assassinations)
I also recommend selling every XP boost you get, that will help a tiny bit.
Lastly, tune into the HWC livestream this weekend. They’ll give out REQ pack codes for free gold packs. Those can really help. Private message me if you want more details on that
EDIT: also, per others’ posts above, yes- definitely do silver packs first
You can message me for more details if you want the reasoning behind this, but…
- Skip Bronze packs (my personal opinion).
- Grind all of your Silvers (likely done around level 80).
- Then grind all of your Golds.
The only exception to this I’d make is if you consider yourself a casual player and really don’t care about unlocking all of the items in the game. In that case, if there’s certain armor you want, go for it, get a Gold if you’d prefer, and cross your fingers you get very, very lucky.

I don’t consider myself casual but others might lol between work and my child I don’t play as much as I would like but my goal is to unlock everything before halo 6

I feel you there! I have the same situation these days… full-time job, two young kids at home (3 and 1), it’s tough to find time to play when you include all of my other life commitments as well! The good news is you still have plenty of time prior to Halo 6 I’m sure, assuming the player base for 5 stays strong. I only ever play on lunch breaks from work or late at night after I’ve put the wife and kids to bed.
The idea behind the REQ pack grind strategy is this… Bronze packs are 1,250 RP I believe, Silver 5K, Gold 10K. In Silver and Gold, you are guaranteed two (it might be three now) permanently unlocked items. They can be armor, stances, assassination animations, weapon skins, or REQ cards for Warzone. You’ll figure it out with a little time under your belt. In Bronze, you’re given a CHANCE at ONE permanent unlock… so to me, it’s not worth buying them at all. Some people would disagree with me, mathematically, for the same strategy below I guess applies to Bronze too, but I thought they were a waste of time.
Bronze, Silver, and Gold packs each give you a range of items in terms of rarity, but there’s overlap between them. Bronze I believe is all common items you can unlock. Silver, Common > Rare. Gold, Rare to Legendary. Knowing that, the smart play is to unlock everything in Bronze and Silver first (again, I skipped Bronze and went straight Silver myself), so that when you open Gold packs, you will only get Ultra Rare to Legendary items from there on out. Otherwise, you could pay 10K for a Gold pack, and unlock one or two permanent Rare REQs you could have gotten for half the cost in a Silver pack (5K). Hopefully that makes sense. Buy everything in the lower levels first, then go for the higher level REQs, and spend as few RP along the way as you have to expedite your unlock process.
Again, my only exception to that is if you’re a casual player who just wants the chance at cool stuff to play with in Warzone. If that’s the case, by all means, buy Gold packs and hope for a Phaeton or something you can wreck people with… but just know that your odds of getting something like that are slim by the numbers. You’re more likely at the lower levels to get a Rare helmet and a Rare weapon skin for 10K that you could have got for 5K.
