Best way to get massive Cr in Halo: Reach

Technically, I need/want help in getting massive amounts of Cr in Halo: Reach, how to level/rank faster, and so on. Please help if U can.

Way I always use is Firefight. Use Rocket Launcher loadout, play on Corvette, Holdout, or Courtyard (easiest places for close grouped enemies). I can get 1.2k-1.5k cR a game just off the commendation progress alone from that stuff using Rockets the whole game. As an Inheritor I usually earn around 7k-9k a game of Firefight.

For Matchmaking you can technically use the Griffball technique (which is also technically even better than the Firefight method) because the winner of a Griffball game gets double “Completion” bonus. (Unless that changed). However, to get a really high bonus (11k or such just in bonus) both teams would pretty much just have to sit still the whole game and the rounds go back and forth and on the last round your team scores the winning bomb.

Otherwise, use daily/weekly challenges to score some easy credits. Tons of really easy challenges pop up all the time that require not too much dedication at all.

Of course the alternate to all these alternates is simply to play the game doing whatever you want. But it’s going to take awhile if you just play random playlists (living dead is the worst, hate that playlist).

Firefight is usually the main place where people get credits. If you have good matchmaking games you can get the bonus of 400+ credits.

That hurts me man. Nothing is more fun to me than slaying some zombies. Yes, the credit earnings are smaller than others, but it’s a great playlist. Better then Halo 4’s infection. OT. There are certain ways to earn more credits, like Firefght, Griffball, but you should just play what you really enjoy playing. And don’t do the target locator cheat, that’s just a waste of time.

Thanks for the help y’all. Yes, I do Firefight now & then.

I’ll definitely give you that one. It is way better than Halo 4’s Flood mode is.

Also agreed, best way to earn credits? Do whatver you love to do because playing to get cR but forgetting to enjoy the game is a waste of time.

Some of the custom game infection types are pretty cool too. Was neat to see what people did with Reach.

@Death Ascending
Yeah, 343i really screwed up when they made Flood. I mean, seriously? Insanely powerful thrusterpacks for zombies, no last man standing overshield. Last Stand is everyone camping in a corner! Living Dead can be laggy, boring, and tedious sometimes, but there’s nothing like it. Why do you dislike Living Dead so much?

Basically to sum up how to rank up quickly:
-Complete as many challenges as you can
-Play Firefight and get lots of kills
-Play long games of Grifball
-Don’t cheat with the target locator
-Be very patient
-Have fun!

I’d play grifball if you really want to level up that bad. I’ve earned up to 30,000 (not including challenges) but you have to get like 100 kills a game :I I’d just get patient and play slayer or btb game types. The armor doesn’t get better past brig. anyway

Just play grifball. Hold the ball. Play all rounds and end in a tie. Huge win/performance bonus. No kills needed…
Both teams get the payouts!

Do a lot of challenges.

Karmatiq, U stated the armor doesn’t get better… So, does the armor make any difference in gameplay, more protection or what? I thought no matter the armor that everything in the end is technically still the same… Just curious…

Changing your armour does nothing other than change your physical appearance. So the size of your hit box stays the same even if you have those big shoulder pads and it does change your health in any way either.

I think what he means by the Brigadier comment is that once you get to that level you have unlocked all the good pieces and you are then just farming for credits to buy them. I think by the time you Reach the rank of Nova you have enough credits to buy every piece of armour but you have to wait to 14 million credits to hit inheritor and be able to unlock the haunted helmet which costs only 1 cr to buy.

  • Grifball - FireFight - BTB or Infection

grifball lots of grifball people say the firefight is the main place to get CR but i only get about 60 CR

If you play through halo ce anniversarys campaign you can read terminals and get codes for waypoint on the xbox and they will give loads of cr hope that helps:)

Play team slayer and complete daily/weekly challenges as much as possible. Especially with the new slot bonus thing when you finish the match and don’t leave. Hope that helps

GRIFFBALL! You get get 4k -atleast 20k credits per game if the game lasts long and get lots of kills.

Grifball, get a team together, get the ball and don’t score in any of the rounds. At least 10K credits a game.

Thanks for the tips y’all. Keep it coming. And the thing on the Terminals, don’t understand. Please explain???

Challenges and commendations.Firefight arcade or grifball never score it but don’t do the grifball technique too much cuz u can get banned
