New nameplate requires 250 grunt headshots. Where’s the fastest way to do this? Campaign or spartan ops?
Just shoot the first 250 you see in the head, that would easily be the fastest way

Halo 1 The Silent Cartographer 10 grunts at the start and do last checkpoint when you killed all of them
Levels I did were Crow’s Nest, Cairo Station and Silent Cartographer. All those missions have at least 50 grunts so you would only need to run 5 missions if you headshot every one.

I averaged around 60 Grunts a game just doing Pillar of Autumn. It’s nice cause it’s a confined level which makes Grunts easy to find and kill and it’s relatively quick.
H3 Crow’s Nest heroic with GBP skull. Get a checkpoint just before a hog blows up to a plasma grenade. Look left down the hall, rip some faces with a BR, reload last checkpoint and repeat.
This is actually useful, but is there anyway to keep track of the kills? I don’t have the best memory and can’t remember exact numbers like I use too.

Does difficulty to Legendary increase the number of grunts, or is it a set amount either way?

It might, I haven’t tested Legendary. I’ve just been playing Heroic because there are a couple elite only waves and you should be able to complete the level quicker on Heroic. Since there is no counter I’m just doing it 2 times a day to make sure I hit the number. Not sure if Waypoint breaks down the Stats on enemies killed per play through so that’s something to look at to give possibly give you a number.

Funny you mention that, because I just finished the mission on Legendary (No skulls so the test is Vanilla) and no it doesn’t. It replaces them with more Generals, and the Sleath Elites in some waves.
Spartan ops chapter 7 mission engine:Right at beginning there are 10-12 grunts,headshot them,restart mission,repeat.

Do the headshots still count if I fail the mission?
I did Spartan Ops Chapter 7 the Engine level. 10+ grunts at the very begging of the level. You can get 100 in like 2 minutes of play. Got my head shots in like less than 15-20 minutes.

Wondering the same thing. I was never a fan of Halo 4 and I’m sooooo rusty at it. Those generators just go boomboomboom mission fail.
The Halo 4 mission “Requiem” has over 100 grunts to shoot in the face.
can you have the bandana skull turned on and still have the headshots count???
Okay so I have heard some people say if you do the 10 kills then restart it doesn’t count so does anyone have the title that’s done it that way?
