So, I’m playing through Campaign on Legendary, and I’ve gotten to the boss fight on Unconfirmed, and I’d like to know what the best way to defeat him is. I’ve already died about a hundred or so times trying. What works best to kill him on Legendary?
I suggest gettin him somewhere between you and the rest of the team. That way he looks to you while you are fighting him, and then turns around to deal with your team. Other than that its just knowing how to stick your head out barely so you can move an inch out of the way to avoid the big laser beam.
Is that the first time he appears? There are rocket launchers before the fight you can save up, four splinter grenades behind him when he appears, and one (or two?) incineration cannons on the floating platforms. Getting him between you and the rest of the team is a good plan too, that way he’s always getting fire on his back.
For that fight in particular going up the ramps is pretty safe from him at least. Careful of crawlers and such that come up to get you though.
For when you get further and fight him again as chief and friends, kill off all the enemies near you, then go up the cliff on the right side all the way to the top. He’ll often hang out in the far back of the area, and you can easily just tag him with shots and whittle him down from the cliff where’s it’s super easy to dodge anything he shoots at you.
In general if you shot him in the orb in his back you’ll kill him surprisingly quick even on legendary. A few well placed shots with a scatter shot while he’s distracted/stunned will wreck him.
Punch him in the gonads
If it’s the one I’m thinking of I ran straight up the right side of the ramp grabbed the incinerator cannon on the centre floating ledge, then jumped back to the ramp again.
Then I ran all the way back to the start ignoring enemies (the lowest part with the light rifles)
The Warden follows. I got my team to attack and hid to the left side (if I remember correctly there is a scattershot down the left side as well) slowly picking him off with the light rifle and cannon when he turned to fight my team. When he faced me I hid again.
You will get the odd enemy attack you. Just kill them as needed but always stay hidden to the left. There is also a pillar you can hide behind if you cant quite see his back.
I repeated this and finally killed him.
Its possible to skip the fight by using a man cannon then ground pounding up on the center pillars, jumping up toward the exit platform and start a ground pound… hover forward a bit and you can just barely catch the exit ledge.

Man this would’ve been nice to know on my Co-op Legendary run. Oh well, at least I know now.

Try to camp up on the ledge above. He will only rarely come up there. There is also an incineration cannon, lightrifles (maybe) and scattershots on the ledges above.
