Best Thumbstick Layout??

I have been playing halo for many years and when I first started I began using the legacy look controls (thumbsticks). Now in halo 5 with things like strafing being very important I find that playing on legacy makes some movements harder when combining them with aiming at the same time. I feel like using default is simpler and may be more effective as a whole. Tell me your guys’s thoughts on this and include what layout you play on. Thank you

I wish I had a controller with paddles. That would solve all my problems. I used to use the boxer control scheme in previous halo games. Then toward the end of Reach’s life-cycle, i forced myself to switch to bumper jumper. Only, 343 just kept adding more and more abilities to use with Halo 4 and now Halo 5, making bumper jumper no better than the Default controller configuration now. But the switch from Boxer to Bumper Jumper was so painful that I’m never going to force myself to switch to anything else. I’m just stuck once again being at a disadvantage while playing the game against players with paddles. FML

On-topic, I’m pretty sure default is the most common layout now and is quite good if you don’t have a controller with paddles. Bumper Jumper is just meh, not good but not bad either.

Man I was wondering the same thing but I feel like legacy would be easier because it keeps your aim reticle in one spot where I play on default and I feel like I’m moving my aim too much and making me less accurate

I’ve used Legacy since the beginning; can’t fathom anything else. ^^

I tried to switch last night just makes it a lot harder. I switch to bumper jumper no problem but my whole movement was screwed using legacy.
