First of all The Most Important point of getting the Best Connection with Your Network Is to be Hard wired to your Xbox One, “Use your ADSL” it comes with your Router for Goodness Sake Use It! Never Use Wireless!
-
Have Access To your Router and Turn Off or Disable UPnP, it’s the worst possible thing of all network combined if that Thing is Enabled, it Destroys Online Matchmaking and Gameplay.
-
Set these ports Forwarding 53,80,88,3074,3544 towards your Xbox One IP Address, Don’t Set port 4500 and 500 They’ll just eat up your network for no good Reason. You Can Find more information about ports by going here http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/networking/network-ports-used-xbox-live
-
If You have the DMZ option please set Xbox One IP Address on it, DMZ allows that particular IP to be out of your Network Firewall.
-
Set These Dns Server Code to your Xbox
Dns 1 : 208.67.222.222
Dns 2 : 208.67.220.220
This always helps your network Connection to be Secure.
-
And That’s it Your Done, You’ll have an Open Nat and if there be any problem then it will relate to the Xbox Live Services or what ever Game your Playing, Through this your also are Hard Wired to the Xbox live services, Parties will work Brilliantly and if you have a worst Connection this might improve by i would say 50%, If you wana ask any questions please ask below, I will always answer.
I wanted this form to be up because i’m tired of hearing people having a bad connection or can’t get a Match on Halo:MCC this might help you Alot! I Promise.
Thank you.
Great information. I would also like to add helpful info. Make sure you physically test your upload and download speed.
To test your download and upload speed:
- Settings
- Network
- Detailed network statistics

Whatever your internet provider says you should be getting, is what you should be getting very close to. If your numbers are way off, then there is something wrong with your connection.

What!!?? I SERIOUSLY came in here supporting your post and provided a helpful video that I found on youtube to show members how to test their internet connection. I am beyond confused. This is literally THE most confusing post I have ever seen on these forums.
Please someone help me to understand what just happened. Maybe this post wasn’t directed at me? Did I miss something? Maybe there was a reply above this that I missed? I am so confused.
clap clap clap a helpful video he says “how cute”
Don’t act all Confuse Bro! with that type of quality of the video and posting it on the form which definitely everyone will see with your excuse of physicaly checking The Xbox One Connection is pretty much a goal that was in your mind after you saw the form, I’m not Dumb! Get rid of your post! and Thank you for your cooperation.

You seriously must be smoking THE best crack ever made in history. Obviously I am not alone in this confusion because no one else replied. I SERIOUSLY have no idea what in the heck you are talking about. Even you haven’t explained yet what you are talking about. Honestly if anyone knows what he means, please explain. Again, that is not even my video. Just a quick search on youtube for a video helping members check their internet connection download and upload speed. Its the same results as going to speedtest.net but more convenient because it is built directly into the X1 already.
I don’t see why you are so mad he posted a literally helpful video on how to check your connection details. It wasn’t a troll video. Just because the form doesn’t belong to him, doesn’t mean we can’t post whatever we want you self centered antagonist. Don’t post anything if you can’t handle feedback. Get out of your own perspective and realize the actual truth behind what is happening instead of using your negativity to babble away about something that you don’t truly understand.
Imbeciles…
I bought the Halo XB1S bundle on Labor Day weekend, and so far I’ve noticed that the XB1 likes to drop wireless connection from time to time. So, yeah, I have an ethernet cord physically plugged into it. I’ve never had this issue with my PS4. However, before I even bought the XB1 I had heard that its wireless connection is not as reliable, so I was prepared.

Did you hear this about the S? I’ve never had an issue with mine - and it’s a good 15 feet away from the router, and through 3 walls. It probably depends on the strength of your router and internet speed too though.

I would say that it’s based on my wireless internet strength and speed, but my PS4, which is right next to my XB1S and therefore the same distance away from the router, does not drop the internet at all. Must just be a difference with the consoles. I remember installing The Witcher III: Wild Hunt on my PS4 and with all of the updates I had missed out on it took a few hours. But MCC took nearly 12 hours and Halo 5 took about 8.
