DMR nuff’ said.
It reigns supreme due to its mid/long range shots.
I think the best is the Carbine. Althrough it’s damage input per shot isn’t as good as the other rifles, it’s rate of fire sure makes up for it, and though it is slow while reloading, it has a good magazine capacity. It has almost no recoil and can tear through shields pretty good.
Also, I love the purple-green design.

You know, i wasn’t too impressed with the Carbine, b/c it seems to me players get a lot of Assists using that weapon. For skilled players using it, then thats a different story.

Well, up until June 3rd anyway

Well, I’ve put my time to mastering it, and is my weapon of choise. I’m not saying I’m an expert, but I’m pretty decent with it. You must know only when is the best momento to attack, and have a good strafe.

I know. I hope the DMR doesn’t become weak, however, the long range part is the one i will accept since, players use it like the Sniper.
I think DMR wins in every aspect
its the ‘best’ gameplay wise meaning it outpowers all the guns currently
also its a UNSC rifle added in Reach, and I do like the gun for the canon style feel and look of the gun
my second choice would be lightrifle, as its an interesting forerunner weapon
If the player is very good/skilled, then the LR. 4 zoomed shots or 3 zoomed & 1 unzoomed. The fastest killtime.

DMR is the “Master of Precision”, lol.
For most people, they will find success easily with the DMR. Next, is the Light Rifle (after it’s buff).
However, I am a heavy Carbine user

a noble thing to be. i recently 7/7ed my carbine mastery and tip my hat to those who have as well.
(Campaign only)
DMR:
Damage 8/10
Rate of Fire 7/10
Reload Speed 7/10
Appeal 7/10
Carbine:
Damage 6/10 (7 with Tilt on)
Rate of Fire 8/10
Reload Speed 7/10
Appeal 9/10
Light Rifle:
Damage 8/10
Rate of Fire 6/10
Reload Speed 6/10
Appeal 9/10 (great appearance)
IMO
Right now, the DMR. After the update, it’ll probably be the LightRifle. We’ll see, though.
I’ve been a BR fan since Halo 2. I still choose it the majority of the time however, during the weapon tune playtests lately, I’ve been favoring the LR. Time will tell which one I settle on long-term.

Well, it won’t become weak as only its RRR is being reduced slightly. Those of us that have used it often, know that you can kill people regardless of whether the reticle is red or not! People who have had success with it, still will.
The DMR. I’ve always liked UNSC Weapons more than Covenant/Forerunner weapons. They seem to always perform better overall too.

ah always makes me happy when someone “sees the light” allow a veteran LR gunman to give you a few tips; patrol the map perimiter preferably hidden by active camo. have a sensor on so its easier to jocky for long ranged engagements, and be ready to back down from an unscoped fight if you dont get the first shot or two because odds are not in favor.
In Campaign, the LR is all over so thats out. Don’t like DMR because ammo disappears. Carbine is my favorite cause its a classic.
