What has been your best save in any Halo game?
For example, I was playing Castle Wars CTF in Halo 5 and someone threw a grenade at the base of my mongoose, it detonated, and my mongoose fell off the map, and as I got kicked out of the mongoose, I clambered onto it, jumped, thruster packed to the bridge, and clambered on to the bridge.
i have a lot but this particular came to mind,
Halo 3 - team doubles - boundless, its 23-24 we re losing, i have snipe-shotgun and about a minute on the clock, me and my teammate we re crouching inside high base, little did i know the other team was crouching as well behind one of the blue shields in front of the base, as im crouching to exit the base i come face to face with a red guy and completely PANIC, he gets a stick on me the exact time i shotgun him, and listen to this! the time it takes for the plasma to explode, i Yoink you not, i see his teammate to my left trying to flee, reflexes kick in and i get the nastiest headshot on him right before i die, my first reaction was awww damn so close, it took me 3 full seconds to realise what i had done, we won the game 25-24
i just started screaming feeling i could take on the ogres, that was one of the luckiest snipes ive ever gotten EVER
I remember that particular wz game on stormbreak . We were about to be cored, so I grabbed a ghost and somehow made it out of the core unnoticed except by 1 player . Dude followed me in a phaeton but I somehow managed to get into their armory on their core side. Little could he do except land on the armory, which he tried a few times but he was too scared that I’d board his phaeton. So eventually I capped their armory and we won the game. lol
It was on a super fiesta map.
74:74 for both teams.I had an missile launcher and an enemy aswell.We run toward each other and fired our missiles,I died a split second after him,winning the game.

I don’t get very many epic saves, but this one really stood out to me. My team was playing the underdog by around 5 kills for the entire game, so managing to turn it around at the last minute was unexpected but absolutely awesome.
For those of you who are too lazy to watch the video, here’s a summary of what happens. The score is 69-73 on Super Fiesta on Mercy, and my Ad Victoriam has three rockets left. Somebody is running up the set of stairs where the SAW spawns in Slayer, and I’m at the top, so I shoot him. I reload, and then run down the pathway to the left. I see two enemies next to each other at the top of those stairs so I fire my rockets, only for two more to join them at just the wrong time (one of them had the Speed Boost armor effect, so he must have had a good weapon). The game ends shortly after at 75-74.
I almost choked but this flag cap with a millisecond left in OT for the win.
I was playing infection and ran out of shotgun ammo and had a few bullets in my DMR I killed one thrustered back killed another and got an extremely lucky point blank headshot on a zombie and then I missed a couple more shots and ran out of ammo ran around the map (backwoods if your wondering) and got into bottom of the well where there was ammo and in came 2 zombies I shot, hitmarker, and shot again killed that one and jumped in air just in time to melee the next I got a clip on my YT but I don’t know if self promoting is allowed on waypoint ( also this is just a basic round up I may have left out a few kills or mixed up the order)

I’ll take your word for it no worries lol and also is there a rule against putting in links to your YouTube channel for a clip? I lost the clip in my Xbox game DVR and only have it on YouTube but I don’t want to get banned?
My company/fireteam were losing by roughly 100 points on Darkstar and we were triple capped. I single handedly start to recaptured West armory and a Phaeton Helios lands on the roof top not realizing I was aware he’d come and I managed to hijack him!
The effort they spend trying to recap West (my Helios preventing this, easily) we end up capping all of the bases and win by around 25 points.

maybe is in my Xbox 360 but I haven’t played Halo 3 since 2010

Killed a mythic warden in the final few seconds of a round with a hydra launcher
I have a few I could tell you guys but my favorite has to be playing strongholds on Empire and getting destroyed the entire match but finally taking map control when the game was already 99-4 in their favor and being able to hold control the entire time for the win.
One time my armoury in WZ was a second away from being captured and I flew in with a blaze of glory killing all the captors before they could take it. I can search for the clip if you’d like.

The game was tied and both teams had each other’s flag.
First one that pops into my head was winning WZ FF on Apex. Round 5 was the one with the Grunt Goblin and Hunters that spawn in the tunnels after the Goblin is destroyed. Started out the round using a Ultra Wraith but died around 40 secs left trying to take out the Hunters. After sitting through the painful 30 sec timeout, I respawn at the Spire. The last Hunter had only a sliver of health left and seconds was left on the clock. I ran into the tunnel and chucked a grenade at it. The blast killed it just before the timer hit zero. Got the boss kill credit too lol.
In Halo CE, on The Maw I was trying to get the achievement where you have to get to the longsword with over a minute left on legendary. I think there was about 1 min 20 sec left when you have to get out of the warthog and run. I didn’t care about any enemies that were behind me i just ran and i made with like a quarter of a second left.
