best program to make a montage?

i need something to make a montage with, i havethe clips, just need the means to string the clips together and make it look good.

what is the best program to make a montage with? im looking for something easy to use that will give good results

Something that’s really easy to use is Windows Movie Maker. I’ve used that a couple times and it’s pretty reliable.

I’m sure there are better programs out there, but the one I have the most experience with us WMM.

Thats interesting, Nintendo uses Windows media maker to record bugs and glitches and MS does as well.

Ask the guy that did the sunlight montage of Halo Reach or Halo 3’s Zola. Those guys sure know how to edit insanely good videos.

Another question you should ask if “How much money are you willing to spend on a program.”

WMM and the free stuff is good and all, but you won’t have the effect bank and editing power of other programs and thus, won’t be as flashy. Some of that stuff can get kinda pricey…

But if you are looking for just something simple (And FREE!), WMM should work fine!

I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 11 and Hit Film Standard.

And yes, they cost $$$.

I used an old version of Windows Movie Maker for all my montages and machinima until just a few months ago (I upgraded to Sony Vegas). Windows Movie Maker is great, but the newer “Windows Live Movie Maker” is far more limited. Find an older version of the program and you’ll be fine

sony vegas…

and search youtube for phurions how to make a montage part 2…everything you need to know to get started
