Just thought I’d ask since I’m on the capstone challenge which requires me to get 10 melee kills on PVP. Thing is, quite a few playlists support it, and with Ninja Slayer not really contributing to the slayer type, it feels like maybe Team Slayer might be the more feasible option. Thing is, Team Slayer has been having pretty slow with getting games, and I just feel like I’m missing something. Anybody have any advice?
Swat (Tactical Slayer) - No radar and no shields. Sneak up on clueless people expecting you to be standing to get headshots, so one punch them before they can react
BTB - Too much going on for people to pay attention, especially in objective modes
I get most of my melee type kills in these modes
These were how I got 140 assassinations for Venator in H4
It’s just melee kills, so you’ll get them eventually, but here’s some advice.

Use pistols. they have a faster melee animation, so you can get second punch off if you need it.

Certain guns combo with melee (1 shot + 1 melee). Shotguns, hydra, & Ravager, are good options.

Try to play matches with Active camo. Sneak up on them.

Use thrusters to out maneuver enemies.
This includes Vertical Heatwave if all shots land, and Sniper. I’m personally a menace with using the Sniper as a melee weapon in every Halo game, since you can snapshot and cancel the animation with a melee, and vice versa, for a 1 second kill. Been doing it forever.
