Which is the best player to play as? I’m never to Halo Wars and just want to know the best player/best way to play?
Right now I’ve been practicing Forge Tank Rush’s and they seem pretty good, but is there anything better to do?
Thanks
Adam

OK here I go…
basic forge 3v3 build;
when the game starts build a heavy supply pad and then 2 or 3 warthogs, make sure that you don’t stop constructing buildings. make a reactor as your third building and research gunner when you have the money,if you haven’t got the money to build a pad and get the upgrade just build the pad and hold off on the upgrade. once you get gunner clear a base with your hogs while you upgrade your main base, build a reactor and buy the second base when you have the money for it. build a vehicle depot and start making supply pads on your second base, build 2 tanks and then save 750 supplies for a third reactor on your second base. research cannister shell in the vehicle depot and then upgrade your second base and build another depot and supply pad.
you now have 2 bases, 2 depots, and tech 3. go nuts.
I’t isn’t about which leader is best, it’s how you use the leader you pick.(I hear cutter is a solid choice in all game types though)
Not sure How it rates but this is my anders build for 3v3 randoms, it works for me.
fort deen
Game start, 2 supply pads 4 warhogs, (sending starting hog to middle/ opponents side of the map to gather supplys, other hogs closer untill 3rd or 4th gets the supplys from outside my base)
Maintaing production of building i go for two more pads then reactor 5th (while reactor is building i grab the base upgrade) as soon as reactor completes i go gunner 1 supply pads and upgrade atleast 2 of the pads i already have. now send hogs to clear additional bases. (Time here is usually 3.30-4.00), claim second base as soon as i have the resourses to do so.
As soon as i have cleared 2 NPC bases i grab Grenadier for my hogs and send them to harrass any secondary bases my opponents are building
On base 2, 1 supply pad, reactor then Veh depo pump at least 2 tanks before upgrading base.
Claim base 3 same build queue as base 2 get Canny at earliest availability
From here my build varies a lot depending on whats happening in the match so i won’t bother to describe the rest.
You now have 3 bases tech 3 and 2 Veh depos + enough income to pump tanks and change unit type if need be. (Anders is good as due to research speed increase she can change unit type pretty fast)
Here is some of the channels I watch

The problem with these guys is that most of them won’t post a loss and that won’t show you what it looks like to play a losing game. Another thing to be looking out for are the players who don’t say very much to help the player.
The best high level players who have channels that offer good advice for aspiring players are bb2010, Oelysiumx, and Kihz (his channel is iKihz). Kihz tends to have the most high level attitude towards his audience for Party Teams, so check him out (bb2010 for 1s). Bas1sata (Mitch) has a lot of great input too, but his channel is geared more towards mid-twenties to mid-thirties players and hopes to give them a better grasp on the basics, not take them to a 45.
If you find Forge LS Down’s channel, I find his macro and his Anders to be a bit off, so be careful with him. Good 3s player, sketchy 3s Anders
Also, I’ve watched a few of Limitz’s videos and can say that it’s only worth watching what he does in 2s (not even 3s), not what he says. His commentary comes from a very narrow viewpoint and he seems very bad at being able analyze his opponent while he’s talking, which causes his commentary to be more ego than info. The only reason I’d watch his videos is to figure out his playing tendencies (but, I don’t watch videos to learn since I’m a different demographic). Just btw, you’d never watch him if you saw some of the loses he’s gotten on people, lol. I fed my teammate to a Scarab ftw against him in 3s a few days ago. Limitz is a great person to watch in 2s, but go to Elysium for 3s instead.
^^^ I’ve just seen a lot of new players praising Limitz’s channel and think it’s unfounded. Great 2s player, poor commentator.
Legs has a personal vendetta against me, don’t mind him. He gets carried hard by Phenom or Tu Legit when he plays.
This is for 3v3
Captain Cutter is the way to go, hands down.
Make a barracks first, then three supply pads, get some supplies with your warthog.
Make 3 marines right away, take a rebel base while you make the rest of your base all supply pads, destroy your barracks make a reactor in its place.
Build a base at the site you took with your marines. by that time your reactor will be built, upgrade all supply pads at your first base you should have enough credits to do so at that time.
At your new base (it varies, I usually by this time scouted the other team with my warthog, you just have to build accordingly, and alot of times you can just predict what people are going to do by who they are)
In any case I build a barracks first at the new base two more supply pads, start working on getting ODST, build two more reactors upgrade your supply pads, make marines, upgrade base, make factories or just one and field armory, MAKE COBRAS AND WOLVERINE (more wolverines if fighting an Anders, make more Cobras is fighting a Forge, use your Spartans wisely ex. two in wolverines and one in a cobra if fighting an Anders and the opposite if fighting a Forge, if fighting a Covy UPGRADE MAC BLAST IF YOU CAN)
and if possible, I’ll take a 3rd base and make it all supply pads, if you can achieve all this, with that many supply’s coming in, and the build I said, your unstoppable… unless of course you have absolutely no team, but even then you can put a hurting on the other team.
I’m usually at this point at about 14 min.
This works almost every time for me.
