The best part of custom loadouts is that I never have to use that piece of crap called the Assault Rifle. AMEN!

I will never START with an AR ever again, thank the gods. But you better believe I will have one as my secondary when I gotta spray some kid down that has no shields jumping like a damn cricket to try and run away.
As an AR lover, I take offence. Im guessing you guys haven’t had a chance to play Halo 4 yet?
If not, then trust me the AR has been turned into an absolute beast. I personally can’t wait to use it again. Your loss

Have this guy seen any AR gamplay? It’s the best AR ever,and I not even an AR fan. It’s range is actually pretty good this time around you can kill at mid range in about the same time you can at short. It doesn’t have mmuch spread like before. Also firepower mod is best when you have 1 automatic weapon and 1 mid-long weapon(it would be stupid to pick a BR and DMR at the same time). So Alot of people will be still using the AR

Well at my Euro Gamer sesh with Halo 4, I can in fact tell you people that the Assault Rifle is in fact… Pretty hawt.
This was my first thought, but the AR is supposed to be pretty BA this time around.
Iv never been an AR person in Halo. But I have to say Halo 4s AR acually looks useful. Im also guessing all of you people bashing the AR have never played Halo 4.
I’m getting the feeling that the AR will be utilized much like it was in Halo 3. In Halo 3, it was actually a really good idea to switch to your AR at close range instead of trying to kill someone with the BR at close range. So many times against good players in Halo 3, they would switch to their AR at close range when I still had my BR out and boy did I get owned.
I will definitely be using the AR this time around in close quarters instead of trying to kill someone with the BR and be all MLG PRO HAXORZ! Seems like they really balanced all of the weapons to their preferred ranges which I love.
AR looks useless, When you have alot of better weapons like DMR,BR,LR.
i will try it but not use it alot.
