Halo Reach. Best engine in my opinion, great community, best maps, best Firefight, best Forge, excellent campaign.

Have to agree with you on that one, although Halo 2 classic multiplayer is up there with the best.

While I agree Halo Reach had a very solid multiplayer, for me Halo 3 edges it out just out of nostalgia. I never got into Halo 2 multiplayer (online, at least) simply because I didn’t have Xbox Live until Halo 3 came out, and the custom games alone–where I mainly where I spent my time–really got me hooked.
Halo 3 just because where I played a lot and liked the most.

I say Halo 3 Because I found the multiplayer to be more balanced in my opinion.
I have to say Halo 3. Its multiplayer is just so good it never seems to get old or shoes signs of it either.
Halo 3 and Reach are my favorite local co-op games and online is awesome too in them.
Halo 1 and 2 hands down. 3 was also good. The rest meh.

Halo 2, Halo 3, Reach, Halo 4 and 5…i suck at all of them. But my favorite Halo 3 multiplayer

Halo 2 and Halo 3 are tied for me. Both are great games and head an array of place lists. I’ll go with Halo 3 just because of frequent updates and the community really grew with this game.
Halo 3
Can’t believe more people aren’t saying Halo 2, IMO it’s the greatest, possibly the greatest multiplayer console game of all time in it’s prime. It revolutionized the way matchmaking works and the way that console games work. Halo 3 is second but I can’t imagine anyone playing both in their prime and saying Halo 3 was better. Halo 2 IMO had perfect gameplay, and I believe the glitches didn’t ruin the game at all but added to it. There was a whole sub-community born just for glitches, entire websites dedicated just for them. If you asked someone back then if they had Xbox Live and they said yes, there was a 99% chance they would be playing Halo 2.
