I would have voted for Perdition or possibly Settler, but I’m content with Complex. It’s the most versatile map in Halo 4. I thought it played well as a TS map, although no one else did. But it plays even better as a BTB environment for people who like chaos but don’t necessarily love vehicular game play.
I voted for Adrift, as I feel it has the most versatility compared to the other maps you have put into the voting list. There are tight areas for close-quarter combat, larger areas for larger battles as well as mid-long range battles, and unlike the other maps, there are plenty of hiding spots that are easily overlooked that can allow a player time to think, strategize, and get the jump on opponents. Also, the spawn points on the map aren’t broken/predictible.
Compare that to my least favorite map on the voting list, Abandon. Abandon is way too open and was pretty much designed for mid-long range combat. It lacks hiding spots for the stealthy players and the spawn points are close together, sometimes predictable, and due to that somewhat broken in my opinion, especially if a well structured team is at the high point of the middle of the map.
I really like adrift and haven. Both super good maps.

Respectfully disagree. I dislike Adrift due to its segmented and broken up combat, meaning that in radar gametypes a player can sprint out of a punishing position without the better positioned player being able to stop him. Also I find that the many corners and few lines of sight lead to much more focus on grenades and close range weapons, as compared to a map like simplex. In Objective games (CTF, Ricochet) the spawns are incredibly broken and predictable. Overall not a fun map, at least to me.
On topic, I like Abandon, Exile, Solace and Complex all really well. Complex is a little unbalanced in favor of red, and Abandon does have some broken spawns. Solace is a beautiful map that plays nicely, and I don’t think anyone can disagree that Exile is a solid map.
My favorite’s the Adrift. It was my training ground and it’s where I earned most of my victories. And it was funny to play Team Slayer there since the Overshield always spawned in the center of the map and everyone wanted it.
I like these maps to an extent, but most of them have a flaw or two that bug me.
Abandon makes players rush for the overshield, and I’ve given up on trying to get it first a long time ago and never try to get it anymore.
Adrift has very linear lines of sight, which makes it easy for snipers to go camping. Even worse if the enemy gets both rifles.
Every match in Complex ends with the winning team camping in one of the buildings, and more often than not that team is not my own.
Ragnorok is voted for constantly because it’s a familiar map, but the DMR and Lightrifle make everyone go camping, and it’s another map that rubs the Mantis in your face.
The Fuel Rod Cannon makes victory almost guaranteed for whoever picks it up first in Solace.
Exile doesn’t have any gimmicks that bother me. Even though it’s one of several Mantis maps, there is only one and I can grab the Spartan Laser more easily here than on Ragnarok.
Exile.
But I really don’t like a version with Mantis.
Scorpion was much better…
