i will kick things off … The halo 2 BR . It’s an absolute monster it’s accurate good at short and long distance has plenty of ammo in the clip , fast rate of fire and the best bit it absolutely feels like halo. It looks like halo sounds like halo and feels like halo , I absolutely love this loadout weapon

I think it’s the best Level 4 for sure. Personally I believe the H5 BR with attachments at level 5 edges out the H2 BR just a little bit.
Laser site improves bullet magnetism, putting it on par with the the H2 BR in that regard.
Stabilizer jets take away recoil, putting it on par with the H2 BR.
Long barrel turns this thing into the best suppression loadout weapon in the game. (Seriously, longshot or sentinel scope + long barrel can let you lay down suppressing fire from so far away. I’d you crouch you don’t have recoil too.)
Suppressor turns you into a ninja if you know how to wait for the proper time to strike.
So you can essentially make the H5 BR as awesome add the H2 BR, but with bonus perks.
To answer the question, I really like the H5 BR with the sound dampener. It’s a suppressor and a long barrel attached at the same time 
Prior to the Weapon Tuning Update, my preferred weapon was the Sentinel H5 BR and the SMG. But now that those weapons are terrible, I now use the H2 BR, Tactical Magnum, and the DMR more often now.

Tier-1: Assault Rifle + Magnum
Tier-2: Extended Mags Assault Rifle + Extended Mags Magnum
Tier-3: Tactical Magnum + Extended Mags Assault Rifle
Tier-4 through 7: Halo 2 Battle Rifle + Extended Mags Assault Rifle
Tier-8 and Tier-9: Sound Dampener DMR + Energy Bayonet Assault Rifle

I agree, the battle rifle is just garbage now. Feels so off and clunky. They really ruined the battle rifle-I’m more running the magnum now. They tried to make the BR a niche weapon and ending up making it worthless. Weapon Tuning update destroyed the way the weapons felt. They felt good now they feel awkward and not fun to use. Epspically the BR.

This is a favourite loadout weapon & why thread not a BR discussion thread ( btw now awful)
H5 Longshot BR + Long Barrel Attachment is my go-to Loadout weapon once I hit Req Level 5. Turns my BR almost into a sniper rifle.

I was actually trying purposely to separate the post so that people could come in read the one sentence and know what to do instantly. And it’s not really multi posting as the question is valid by itself as is the answer keeping it separate was the best way of making a clear concise thread . The best req weapon thread got a lot of feedback and with all the negativity ATM I wanted people to think of some of the good things in halo 5 . Why not just join in instead of your petty criticism, no wonder people don’t like posting on these forums way to suck the enjoyment out of something. Good job

I’m partial to the silenced magnum & dmr for warzone. I like quiet weapons. For arena, the magnum hands down. I just love the “feel” of it in combat. I also feel it obscures the least amount of the screen & I wanna see all I can.

H2BR is by far the best all around. The others have their niches, but the H2BR is overall the best.
Either Halo 2 BR or level 8 DMR
Yeah, the DMR with the Laser Sight and the Longshot scope for me. At least, in terms of taking people out. Matched up with one of the ARs its not bad.

halo 2 Br, no recoil, high damage, good design, useful ADS, a classic.
The Assault rifle is my alltime favourite.
