Seeing as the carbine is going to get the love it needs what do you guys think would be the ideal loadout for it?
I love using this gun and I want to use it to the best of its potential.

I use it with the Light Rifle to negate the fact that its not good at long range. Here’s the main loadout I use it with:
Light Rifle
Carbine
Frags
Thruster Pack
Firepower
Stability
The long range capabilities of the LR are also getting a nice buff.
Edit: Oops, the Tac Pack is supposed to be Firepower not Resupply.

I just realized there was a Firepower tactical package. xD
Good bye Mobility, I’ve found something more suitable!

Don’t you need Firepower instead of resupply for that loadout? Oô
Primary: Covenant Carbine
Secondary: Plasma pistol
Grenade: Frag
Armor Ability: Auto Sentry
Tactical Package: Resupply
Support Package: Ammo
the Sentry gives the carbine that single shot to get the kill faster it needs, and the ammo perk maks it so you dont run out of bullets.
For big maps
Carbine
PP
Frags
AC or Jet pack
Resupply
Stability
Jet pack is really good in big maps for those that run behind cover when you pop their shields. Just jetpack and pop their head off. We all know why AC…
Small maps
Carbine
Magnum or BS
Frags
Thruster
Resupply
Dexterity or Explosives
Explosives combined with thruster is very good to decrease grenade damage in mid to close quarter combat. Depends on your playstyle though. If you like to stay really far then dexterity is good for fast reloads so you could keep blasting almost seamlessly between clips.
I like using stability
I use stability too.
For Semi-Aggressive, Supporter use.
Primary Weapon: Covenant Carbine
Secondary Weapon: Magnum
Grenades: Frags
Armor Ability: Regeneration Field
Tactical Package: AA Efficiency
Support Upgrade: Drop Recon
This loadout is perfect for small team based actions, hit and run. Since the Carbine is weak at the date, it’s a really good support, suppression weapon. Easily can finish off weaker enemies. Since the Carbine have a slow reload time, it’s good to have a Magnum at your disposal. Remember, switching to your sidearm is always faster then reloading! Regeneration Field gives you and your teammates the benefit to stay out longer, and jump from engagement to engagement with full shields. AA efficiency boost this ability to the max! Drop Recon is gives you the benefit to know where the Ordinances gonna come. You can share your knowledge with your team, and knowledge is power! Not so many people uses the Carbine, so find something on the field with the Drop Recon Upgrade can make your life longer and easier.
Give it a try! Good luck!
Thanks for the advice guys I’ll try out some of your ideas.
I’m enjoying firing rainbows at people lol.

This sounds legit!
i go
carbine
dmr/lightrifle (your choice just need a long range at times)
frag/pulse ( i prefer pulse )
active camo (it gives you the jump on people which you need with the carbine being the way it is right now)
firepower
dexterity ( carbine has the slowest reload time out of all loadout weps and it allows you to switch faster between guns)
the carbine is and always will be the best gun in the halo series (IMO)
Oh and strafing does not help alot but it does help so get a good strafe
I think it will depend on the playlist. For instance in BTB you will want the Carbine to be your close quarters option. So taking it with a DMR or LR and Firepower would be a must. Along with Camouflage because in BTB Camo is basically a must have for Ragnarok games. Just don’t expect to be the anti-vehicle guy without power weapons.
But on smaller player count maps, you’ll want it as a primary. And the best secondary option will be either the Boltshot, or an Automatic for those melee-range fights. Good AA’s would be Thrust, Jetpack, or PV.
Primary: Carbine
Secondary: Magnum
Grenade: Frag
Armor Ability: Player’s Choice
Support Upgrade: Dexterity
Tactical Package: Ammo
With this loadout, the player can effectively use the Carbine in a quick strafe manner. With the addition of Frags and Dexterity, the user can throw a Grenade and quickly pop a headshot before the opponent can even respond. Dexterity also allows users a quick advantage for reloading the Carbine’s relatively slow magazines and quickly switching to the Magnum.
The addition of Ammo will allow the user to rarely worry about depleting the Carbine’s shockingly low ammo capacity and can enjoy their Magnum to it’s fullest potential.
The recommended controller settings are the Bumper Jumper configuration. This will allow a better movement ability and will make the user a harder target to hit.

Sadly, the two is in the same category.
Dexterity however doesn’t recover faster from grenade throws.

Thanks. I used this loadout to Master my Carbine.
You need to find out how to play with this loadout, it isn’t promote the most common play style, “mix things up a little”.
Thanks GyrateAll,
I recently swapped out the Thruster Pack for Regeneration Field and it works wonders, especially now that games on Haven are quite rare.
This is my updated loadout:
Light Rifle
Carbine
Frags
Regeneration Field
Firepower
Stability
Took me some time to adjust to Regeneration Field (I’m still mucking it up) but it really does help if timely deployed.
