Which was your favourite halo game
That’s a tough choice for me.
Between Halo 2, Halo 3, and/or Halo: Reach, I’m not sure. It’s difficult. They’re all so great in my opinion.
I still play Halo 2 (pc) and Halo 3 for their amazing campaign (and mods in Halo 2 lol).
I play Halo: Reach because it is fun. I still play it because I want to Reach Inheritor and see that Haunted helmet for myself, and also because of Firefight, one of the highlights of the game. So fun, so diverse.
I can’t decide, PLEASE HELP ME.
For me, it HAS to be Halo: Reach.
Although Halo 3 was my first Halo game, Reach got me into the franchise, I loved all the customization, all the fun game-modes, the awesome campaign, and playing with my friends.
I just played it earlier today, it is so much fun to play.
There isn’t one mission I don’t like and I love every bit about the game.
Halo 3 was my favorite overall. I love the matchmaking, custom games, and campaign.
ODST was my favorite campaign.
Halo 5 rivals Halo 3 in the multiplayer department. I think if they had maps on par with Halo 3 and better gametypes it’d be #1.
For me H2 I really love it had a lot of good times back in the day
ODST has provided me with my favorite campaign and multiplayer experience, so I’d have to go with that.
In my head, it is either H2 or H3. After playing H5 for a while now, I am finally going back to MCC and playing through 1 through 5 from the beginning. Excited to get onto 2 or 3 to help setting the debate in my head.
I think Halo 3 was the best Halo, and I have a lot of reasons to say this. First of all the conclusion to the trilogy with a lot of epic missions, where you could feel like you really were IN the game, the final mission where the entire place is falling apart and you have an epic song with you. I think the real multiplayer began with this halo, we had more dynamic features, we had more weapons, we got back the assault rifle and man… the dual wielding, i mean, we got the dual wielding since halo 2, but, man, i dont know, i can really feel halo 3, I can feel every little piece of it.
- Reach - Halo 3 - Halo 2 - Halo 3 ODST - Halo 5 - Halo:CE - Halo 4 - Halo Wars 2 - Halo Wars - Mobile HalosAnd it’s honestly such a close tie between 3-Reach. Reach edges it out because I personally enjoyed it’s multiplayer alot more. 2,3, Reach, and ODST are the ones that get me nostalgic, get me remembering the best days and nights. Reach gets me nostalgic for LAN parties and multiplayer, 3 for the ultimate campaign conclusion with MC and the soundtrack, 2 because it was the big sequel, action-packed, came back bigger and badder, and the first Halo I played online, and ODST because of it’s great team-dynamic based storyline that sort of mirrors Reach, with different personalities clashing and of course Nathan Fillion.
Been playing Halo 2 for years, love it.
I’ve played Halo 3, Halo 4, Reach, and Halo Wars, and I’m working on Halo 3 ODST.
They’ve all got their pros and cons for sure.
Reach had an interesting story but I played it both after 3 and 4 and it felt like a kind of clunky hybrid between the two games when paying it, although of course it came out before 4 I felt 343 really improved upon some of the UI between Reach and 4. I enjoyed the story but I never really got into it the same way I did 3 or 4. I didn’t like multiplayer much either, as it was different than 3 but customization wasn’t as polished and straightforward as 4.
Halo Wars was a fun game with an alright story, but my biggest bone with Halo Wars is that if I really wanted to play a top-down RTS, I’d go play Starcraft.
Otherwise, it was a refreshing deviation from the standard FPS Halo games.
Halo 3 ODST is pretty cool as far as I can tell. It doesn’t tell the story of Spartans which is cool but that’s really all I can say about it.
Halo 4 wasn’t as well received as a lot of other Halo games, partly because 343 definitely went in a different direction from Bungie both art and story-wise. I personally liked some of the graphics changes, and with built in sprinting and some improved armor abilities from Reach it’s my second favorite Halo game. The campaign was very short in comparison to the other games, though; and I don’t feel that Spartan Ops was an acceptable extension to the campaign. It’s cool to play as my own spartan in his own storyline but they sacrificed campaign length for Spartan Ops length. The soundtrack was pretty good in Halo 4 too, but lacked the power of Halo 3’s in my opinion. Matchmaking is really what made Halo 4 for me. I felt like it was much more straightforward than any other Halo game and has specific lobbies for a lot of game types. Plus, the 3-map vote system was a big improvement from the “you get a choice of a map, and if it gets vetoed, you don’t have a choice on the second map” system from previous games.
Still, Halo 3 has been my favorite Halo game for years. It has an unparalleled story, a soundtrack that sounds like a symphony from Beethoven himself, and all around was a fantastic game. The campaign wasn’t hard to follow, was interesting, and soundtrack placement in cutscenes and missions outdid any other Halo game I’ve played. I’m not too big a fan of the matchmaking system in 3 but everything else about it is just perfect.
My favorite is Halo 4. Awesome emotional story, best Xbox 360 graphics, and my favorite multiplayer. Halo BTB gives me a level of enjoyment that no other Halo game or shooter can compare in the multiplayer department. Halo 2 and Reach have excellent stories and decent multiplayer.
Halo Wars 1 and 2 are nice RTS compliments to the series that I play quite a bit of. I don’t play PC games, so Wars is one of the few RTS games built well for consoles. Actually I never heard of RTS games until Halo Wars release.
My multiplayer order is: Halo 4>Reach>5>2>CE>3
My campaign order is: Halo 4>Halo 2>Reach>ODST>CE>3>>>>5
mine would have to be halo 3 as for favourite campaign that would be halo 3 ODST worst would out of reach and halo 4.
Halo 2 man! Although it varies from time to time in the year, but as of right now Halo 2!
1 through reach
3 and reach are my all times though
I love all of them. And I mean that, every single one that I’ve played (only ones I haven’t played are Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike). I’d say Reach is my favorite. Not just my favorite Halo game, but my favorite videogame of all time (Halo is my favorite videogame series). But the others are all phenomenal videogames too, and putting them into an order would be too difficult.
Halo 3 is my favorite, the campaign is amazing.
Mine would have to be a tie between Halo 2 and Halo: Reach! Both have a great story line. Halo 2 was just such a good experience for me when I got it back in 2006! I started with Halo: CE in 2005. Man I cried when I got Halo 2 for my next birthday. And of course Halo: Reach and Noble six’s story was great. Man I just keep replaying these games over and over again! - Spartan 339
Halo 3 is my favourite, it had the best campaign and multiplayer in my opinion. I have so many memories playing customs
