Been seeing a few posts like this now.

Had the most fun with: Halo 3
Favorite campaign was: Halo 2
Best custom games: Halo 5
Most immersive world: Hard to say, they all feel around the same, maybe Halo 5 because of the “mini-hubs”.
Best game-play: Halo Reach
Expansive customization: Halo Reach
Game(s) with best cut-scenes: Halo Wars 1/2

Overall: Probably Halo Reach.

As I was thinking of what to write here, I read yours and realized you basically summed up what I was going to say (I think I accidentally made that unnecessarily verbose) but I would say Reach is the most immersive because of how modern the military in it seems, compared to the space marines of the other games. It’s just much more familiar to us today.

Here’s my overall* list:

  1. Reach
  2. ODST
  3. CE
  4. Wars 2
  5. 2
  6. Wars 1
  7. 4
  8. 3 (pls no hate, I’m sorry)
  9. 5
  10. Spartan Assault/ Strike

*Overall because there are aspects in some games lower on the list that I like more than in some games higher on the list, for example, I prefer halo 2s story over Reach’s but there’s more that I like about reach.

have to say I had the most fun with halo 3, simplicity can be very amazing sometimes. The ranks made me and people feel good, when I got to a 45 on lone wolves, with a beautiful brigadier rank, my goodness, never felt that way ever with another game. Even people being a colonel, commander, even a major felt good! But anyways here’s my order:
Halo 3
Halo 2
Halo 5
halo reach (fire fights are to die for)
halo ce
halo 4
and I forgot the halo wars titles, being different games and this is based on opinion, but amount of fun for halo wars 1 and 2 is right up there with Halo 3

All amazing games.

Halo CE
Halo 3
Halo 4
Halo 5
Halo 2
Halo Reach
Halo ODST

This might not be from an actual Halo game, but I love the name of Astro’s Halo 6 script, Halo 6: Tempest.

I rank the Halo series from best to worst in its original release order:

HCE-The originator. A captivating imaginitive campaign and the reason to own an Xbox. It didnt have online MP, but it didnt need to. LAN parties were an awesome experience. Setting them up weeks in advance, transporting 100lb CRT Tvs, cat5 cables criss crossing the house, the energy, the screaming, the commorodary, all part of the unforgetable experience. If you never got to play that way, you missed out. But HCE made all that effort some of the best times I ever had playing Halo!!

H2-responsible for one of the biggests launches in gaming history and revolutionizing online console gaming! The new standard for FPS. An awesone campaign, competetive MP, the BR 55 and Lockout. Nuff said!

H3-arguably the most robust Halo experience and easily the most popular. The campaign was fun, MP was solid, awesome playlists, forge, huge population, the definitive Halo expdrience.

ODS- New faces, moody atmosphere and firefight made for a unique outing in the series.

Reach- arguably Bungies most controversial effort and the start of Halos decline. Georgeous environments, excellent customization and space combat are among its pros. Armor abilities, forged MP maps and no ranking hurt the game.

H4- One of my favorite campaigns but mechanics and elements unapologetically ripped from the likes of COD make H4s MP the worst in the series.

H5- the weakest campaign in the series combined with more borrowed mechanics, MTs, boring maps, broken ranking, a depressing population and an overall design more fitting of an original IP leave H5 in a position that doesnt play or feel like an actual Halo game. Easily my least favorite Halo game.

Pretty much, yeah.
