I went on a noscope spree in halo 4
Back in the Halo CE days, I had three friends over, so we played a couple games on CE, and eventually went to sidewinder for a match. So I went up to one of the bases, grabbed a sniper and started sniping them. The three of them decided to all team up against me, and I kicked their -Yoink-. They grabbed a tank and a rocket launcher, and before they could get around the bend in the tank, I killed the driver. the other two slowly made their way towards me. The one with the rocket launcher stayed outside the base while the other one rushed inside. The friend with the rocket launcher shot a rocket at me, as I sniped him (through the rocket), moved slightly to the left, and the rocket blew right past me into the friend that was coming up the grav lift. That’s one of my best memories.
I’m not great, but I will occasionally have LAN parties with some friends who really suck. If i ever get bored I challenge myself other ways; not allowing myself to use my weapon for example. One of my favorites is to try to see how many assassinations I can get in a game.
For me, I’d say it was during one of my Halo Nights. One of my buddies–we’ll call him “Todd”–is usually the one having the best night (lots of kills and wins), but not this night. On this night, I was utterly dominating. I’m no slouch usually, but I typically rank 2nd or 3rd in our group.
Todd was convinced it was the TV, console, and controller, that I was playing with, not my own skills. This was Halo 2 being played on the original Xbox, and despite the fact that both of our displays were the same and Halo 2 only outputs up to 480p, he was absolutely convinced that somehow my resolution was higher and that’s why I was getting so many kills. Thinking I could keep the night light-hearted and fun, I acquiesced to his demands that we switch setups for a couple rounds. Todd got his -Yoink- handed to him even worse afterward, and he was being such a sore loser! At this point, we even let him choose the next map and game type, including switching any quick options like weapon types, hoping to lift his spirits.
Didn’t matter. He still lost.
It was great.
In H4 during Matchmaking, Me and a teammate were kicking butts all over Solace. We covered each other’s backs until we were 5 kills more to win. A moment he was next to me and then at the next second, he wasn’t. Some camper blew his head off. Then I heard a song sing:
> On a cold and cruel morning
> Under a burning sky
> My brother Ant took a bullet to the head
> Never even got to say goodbye
I once no scoped two people with one bullet in a FFA, it was also a random shot for fun haha! I felt so MLG.
