We’re all here on this forum for a reason. We played Halo for the first time and something just clicked, something made Halo unique and amazing, different from any other game. I remember a long time ago when Halo 3 came out. My cousin got it and an Xbox 360 for Christmas and every time I saw him we played Halo together. We loved it. I never had very wealthy parents so I played on my original Xbox. I got Halo CE and Halo 2 and I played every mission over and over again. I never had Live so I just screwed around on the multiplayer maps just for fun. When Halo Reach came out I finally got my own Xbox 360 and I remember the achievement that has always stuck with me was “That’s a knife” for performing an assassination in Reach. Halo Reach is still my favourite Halo game, and Halo has since been something I always remember having fun with, and I’ll always get the next Halo game because I still have more fun with it than any other game.

Playing BTB 4 player on split screen on halo 3 round my friends. It was about 4 in the morning and we was playing Capture the Flag on avalanche and I was driving the warthog with all my friends and as we was driving to the enemy base I had fallen asleep and the next thing I can remember was being woken up when they was all shouting my name as we drove off the cliff. Then for the rest of the game my friends would just see me running into walls while I was asleep. Somewhere there is a picture of me lying on a sofa with xbox controller in hand fast asleep.
We have Halo CE at school on our computers so in computer lessons, most of the class just goes on Halo CE and we all play team death match or what ever. Before that I had Halo 3 ODST on my 360 but I finished the campaign and played firefight, never went online because I didn’t have live. Now I enjoy inviting my friends over and we all play MCC on split screen. I really, really wish there was 4 player split screen on the campaign.
When i was 16, in 2001, I went to one of my friends house and he was playing Halo CE. He asked if i wanted to join. The first Halo experience i had was watching the opening cinematic for The Silent Cartographer and then storming the beach with him. I left and went straight to Gamestop, or whatever it was called back then, and bought an Xbox and Halo. That is the first though that pops into my head when i think about Halo.
I remember after having played CE for years and the launch of Halo 2 was coming up I have never been that excited for a game in my life.
I was 13 and the day it released I had school to go to, but my mother knew how excited I had been for that game and she let me have the day off and went straight out to a supermarket and bought Halo 2 and brought it back for me. Played the game all day until some friends came round after they had finished school and we played 4 player split screen on coagulation. Good times …
Another moment I will remember is playing Halo 2 online for the first time, back then people didn’t quit and rage as far as I can remember. Everyone was just buzzing to be playing together online.
Edit : My stats for Halo 2 / 3 and ODST don’t show and says I have never played them ? Anyone know why that is ? This is the only gamertag I have ever used and I definitely played those games … weird.
I used to play ce and 2 co operative with my friend. We have loved the halo games ever since. And Now I’m having a blast playing war zone and infection. I have too many fond memories to list!
I remember I was like 7 years old, my stepfather played Halo CE, I don’t remember if he asked me if I wanted to play or it was me asking him to play with him. We got through every mission together, the atmosphere, the aliens, the darkness and everything made it creepy as kid. I actually was scared of the grunts at that time xD but Halo CE, was the thing! The music, the big space, the classic weapons and the campaign was soooo good! It’s even fun to play today even I have played it like hundred times now.
i played halo’s campaign (1-reach) over and over and over and over and over. I remember in halo 2 I cut my brother’s cord because I was tried of playing split screen with him lol. now split screen is something I can only wish to do in halo 5 :/. also I remember in halo 3 doing the thing where the boundaries get “turned off” or something like that because of dropping a ton of trip mines then exploding them. also making the elephant fly with fusion coils and the covie equivalent! haha that was great. driving the warthog on the outside of sandtrap for ages while mines were coming up was great too.
i played halo 2 a little at a friends house, and a lot of halo 3 at another friends house. halo 3 was my first halo. i once got an 8 man with a spartan laser in halo 3. hit an enemy warthog on valhalla for 3, 2 enemies next to it, and then a friendly warthog i didnt see halfway across the map with 3 teammates inside. most people ive killed with a single shot lol
