i like halo 2.
Halo Reach with Halo 2 coming along at a close second.
Objectively Halo 3 but my heart says Halo 2. I just love the story and fluidity of Halo 2 compared to the other games but Halo 3 is a close second.

Halo 2 is very comforty for me plus it has my favorite version of the sniper rifle. Halo 2 had some stellar pieces of music as well like Mombasa Suite.

I’d say story wise halo 2, halo 3 and reach’s multiplayer have some problems but if I were to choose I’d say halo reach multiplayer, if reach didn’t have armor lock then it would be perfect in my eyes
I haven’t played 3 yet but Halo 2: Anniversary fulfilled everything I wanted in a game. Gorgeous looking? Check. Epic music? Check. Cool characters? Check. A very in-depth and interesting story? Check. Being able to play as someone apart from the protagonist? Check. Being able to play as an alien? Check. Satisfying stealth? Check. Being able to use swords instead of guns? Check. I could keep going on, and despite getting frustrated on a few levels (I’m looking at you, wraith and banshee levels), I had so much fun. I still have yet to finish CE, 3, or 4, but I loved this experience so much. Hoping Infinite becomes my favorite when it comes out though.

If I had to pick one? Probably Halo Reach. I love Halo 2 though.
Reach to me is the best. I know armor abilities were controversial at the time but they weren’t as bad as the latest Halo games. The campaign is flat out the best in my opinion, and the multiplayer despite some flaws is awesome as well. I think the reason I love Reach so much is how great the guns and movement feel. The gameplay in Reach is feels the best to me.
Halo 2 has to mentioned though. The campaign is amazing with the exception of the abrupt ending (and the unfair comparisons to Half-Life 2 at the time which I personally think is slightly overrated). But the multiplayer to this day might be my favorite in any video game I’ve played.

The cutscenes in halo 2 anniversary are bloody awesome.
