Anyone have an opinion on the best game currently to prepare for the Reach launch?
On PC? there’s a free to play game on steam called Split Gate, its pretty decent and unique but its a pretty well made arena shooter like Halo. They play close enough and its free.

I’ve been training on the PC version of CE. Downloaded it free from some link I googled. Not sure if that’s allowed though so a mod can trim that out. Don’t worry, I’m not sharing any links.

.Any arena shooter will have skills that transfer well to Halo, try picking up Quake 3 arena if you can. Love the hell out of that game, the only real difference between it and Halo is the movement speed, the aim you get from it should transfer pretty well to Halo if you’re worried about that sorta thing.
nothing is going to be 1:1 to Halo, just play whatever shooter catches your fancy…
there’s only a few shooters kicking around with decent playerbases. CSGO, overwatch, the battle royales, a few tactical shooters with smaller communities (squad, insurgency), and probably a few more I’m forgetting… a year or two ago I would have recommended dirty bomb, but it’s pretty much dead at this point

You can try Aim Lab on steam its free. It’s still a work in progress but it will show you the areas you’re lacking in. Just as Hamel said. That way you know what you aspect of aiming you have to work on.
