Which do you think is the best flood form?
I cant remember what they’re called but the little shooty -Yoinks!- in H3 that hung on the walls. 
Mine would be the tank form, so fun to kill on legendary.
Master chief in flood form and Cortana corrupted by the flood as well . Try beating that! I’ll say it. Nobody gets out alive.

If its the most powerful one then I have to go gravemind for this
Gravemind, I always found him infinitely fascinating, if only he was explored more after Halo 2. (don’t know if he’s been given any time in the books)

but if we are talking best and most powerful its the gravemind which can make all other flood forms and control a large scale of them over a vast distance

A Keymind is actually the final, most advanced Flood stage if I understand correctly, more advanced than a Gravemind. A Keymind forms when an entire planet is completely assimilated by the Flood. It’s basically a planet-size Gravemind, a living Flood organism in space. At that point it becomes so enormously powerful it’s capable of using Precursor technology like the Star Roads to its own advantage. That’s how the Forerunners really ended up losing the war against the Flood. The Keyminds could literally just shut down the engines, shields, weapons, etc. of the Forerunners’ ships thru almost telekinesis if you want to call it that.
