Depends on what you are looking for in terms of gameplay.
Beachhead is a fantastic way to learn defensive tactics if you station yourself well enough at the spawn point. Outpost (Or as I call ‘The Guns’) as well as Glacier are great maps to sharpen your sniping skills on. Waterfront is great to learn how to use the ‘Operator’ Loadout in Arcade fight effectively. Installation 04 from the Anniversary DLC has a bit of everything to offer.
Maps to stay away from on the other extreme are Unearthed (Because unless you stay at the spawn point, you are rushed right and left, not to mention have little to no cover), and Corvette (As playing with other people, they all tend to use Fuel Rod Cannons on that map for quick kills).
Beachhead is probably my favourite from the base game. If you go into the DLC the anniversary map from Halo CE was fun to play on. But Unearthed was probably my favourite out of all of them
