Hi guys,I am onyx 2000+ in ffa but struggle to find players consistently enough to win many matches. In fact i win only around 1 in 6 but regularly come top 3. I believe the problem to be map positioning.Where would be the best places to position myself in each map? Obviously i would move around to where battles take place but i wondered where on each map to set up from. Has anyone got any advice?Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Highest I’ve gotten in ffa is onyx 1750 so idk how much advice I can give to someone higher rank than me. Though I always consistently rose in rank slowly and never ended up in 5th or 6th place and am limited on playtime by my parents to an hour a day.
so if I could grind it out I could very well be truly onyx 1900-2000 level for all I know.
you might already know all of this.
1: always pick
up any weopon, they are all pretty much better than your starting one. Br>pistol
smg/stormrifle> assault rifle.
also the needler and plasma pistol have their uses too, also boltshots are awsome, usually I focus 50% on strafe 50% on shot,
with bolt-shots tracking I get to focus 70-80% on strafe and just shoot in the enemies general direction of his head.
2: when on the run switch to assault rifle whenever your going into a room
or tighter corners, and back to pistol when you see long sight lines
3: I only hold positions when I have a power weopon as it makes me more likely to live and get to use it up.
when I have nothing good to lose i
play aggressively and take every opportunity to trade a kill I can, deaths don’t matter only kills do. Holding a postion may waste valuable time
if I have a sniper I hold a position with long sightlines.
When I have shotgun I hang out in tight spaces and peek out ever now and then to pick people off or lure them over to me. (Also works with splinter grenades) I use them on chasers and in
tight corners.
4: always try to control power ups, keep track of the timer, same with power weopons that aren’t marked, the kind that respawn
when the current one gets used up or dissapears.
as soon as I die with my shotty/ hydra with no ammo, I know it will be back for me to get right after I spawn.
