Now remember, the events of the reveal trailers tend to not occur exactly, or at all, in the final game. People are constantly complaining about the new armor such as “how did he get it while in cryo?!”
Ok here are some example on the trailers being different from the games:
Halo CE: Chief has a more robotic voice and had an antenna on his back.
Halo 2: Totally different from the final game.
Halo 3: The game had the same scene, just more action occured.
Halo Reach: No nuke goes off in the background in the game and there’s no Covenant ship in as well. Jorge talks about Pegasi Delta and Carter is bald.
Halo Wars: Team Omega was never on Harvest and their armor underwent a total redesign
Halo 3 ODST: The Rookie’s pod was on the ground, he’s in a building in the full game.
Now in the Halo 4 reveal we see the Chief wearing new armor and has a new gun. I believe that the trailer is just showcase of things that will be featured in Halo 4.
The UNSC most likely finds John in the first level. You use the Mark VI armor for a little bit but then you get the Mark VII. I don’t know why people insist that the Mark VI can “repair” itself during cryo.
Frankie has already stated that the events depicted in the trailer are “definitely not a part of the real game story”, so your point is correct.
Frankie has already said that it was just a teaser for the game, and that it doesn’t depict what will happen in the game. He also said that the Chief’s armour isn’t the final product and that there will be an explenation on how he got his new armour.

Question: why do you say armour instead of armor? Are you British?

Actually, armour is the correct spelling, same with colour, humour etc.
Americans and Brits are different, but search online, the more correct word is armour.

Canadians also use the words colour, armour, humour, centre, theatre ect.

I think things should just be spelled the way they sound
Yeah, you’re right. Never really thought about it that way.

Yes, I am. I’m from Wales. We spell things differently, that’s all.
> I think things should just be spelled the way they sound
That would never work. For instance, your sentence would become: “I think things shood just bee speld the way/weigh they sound”, or any other variation thereof.
This topic took on a different subject quickly.
How did this turn into a gramar debate? Theater/Theatre, Armor/Armour, -Yoink!- Bandit/ Butt Pirate. Whatever floats your boat.
I’m sure the armor will undergo some minor redesigns and will remain overall the same. Why have some guys make the armor and advertise it at PAX?

I think things should be spelled in English.
…The language that originated from… England.
I live in the US, and I us “our”, in place of “or”, when it comes to prefixes, just for that reason.
Not to add fuel to the fire, but I believe that American English is actually spoken in a way that more closely resembles the English language in its infancy than does modern British English.

No it would be,
i thinc thigns shuld b speld tha wa tha sound
I think what OP said is more or less true. Like the UNSC will find him and he will see all their newfangled stuff and be like “IN MAH DAI, THAR WUS NAWT ANY DEM ROKIT PISTULS, WE HAD TUH HOLD A HUGE METAL TUBE!”
And the marines will be like “Hey old Spartan! Heres a mobile mark VII suit ready for you. Ill just deploy it annnnnd… here.”
And then chief walks over to the device which replaces his old armor with the new one.
There i think we might be able to change a few subtle features (but not colour) in a menu screen and when we’re done, it continues the cutscene. I think this would be cool. But only very subtle changes. He also gets some weapons from them and goes into a battle. The next, or a few, level he gets seperated from them and is alone for a while. Thats one of my theories.

Thank you for staying on topic. It should also be noted that a Spartan can’t just put on a MJOLNIR suit. There has to be a team of technicians and machinery to help put on the suit. Also I doubt that there’s any part of the Dawn that still has atmosphere to where the Chief could put on some magical armor that was already on the ship.
