Best Controller Setting?

EDIT: It’s been over a month since I asked you the question, should I change from Default to Bumper Jumper? I just wanted to update and tell you that I changed from Default + Jetpack + DMR to Bumper Jumper + Thruster Pack + BR, and it feels a lot better. I can now actually see why everyone was complaining about the DMR, because when you switch to it you feel so powerful. But 343 has listened to our prays even if it is a bit to late, but I think everyone is happy about the update on June 3rd. To those who are unsure if they should change controller setting, just go in Custom Games alone and try them all out and see what fits you best. Then of course you need to play some games before you can get used to it. But it’s never too late.

Also since this thread got so popular, lets just stick to this question from now on. Which controller settings do you prefer/think is the best?

I use bumper jumper because i can jump and aim at the same time. Definitely better than default.

Personal preference all the way.

For me, I use Green Thumb (and inverted. Yeah.) for shooty Halo and actually just switched to Bumper Jumper for grifball.

Oh no not inverted haha. Personally I use bumper jumper, however I’d suggest playing about with all of them because it’s about finding what you are most comfortable with

I prefer Recon. It’s almost exactly like the Halo Reach default controller scheme. The only weird thing is that sprint is on the X button, which takes a little while to get used to. Once you do get used to it though, it’s pretty awesome.

But then the problem is that the AA use is on “X”, and that’s not good for Jetpackers. But I guess Thruster is a good choice too.

I suppose you are right, after all it’s personal preference, but I think Bumper Jumper and Default are the most popular ones.

I don’t like jetpack, so i always use thruster pack.
IMO

If you like jetpack, play on Recon.
If you don’t like jetpack, play on bumper jumper

Whatever suits your play style, there is no one best layout to use.

Personally I’ve been using Bumper Jumper for years.

Yeah but I just wanted to know which one most people prefer, and it seems like Bumper and Recon is the favorite ones.

Recon feels the best for me. Lately I’ve been messing around with Southpaw a little bit because I’m a lefty and it’s really fun to get used to.

Bumper Jumper is better than default for competitive play. If you want to abuse jetpack though you should stick to default.

Do the right thing.
