What are your go to color, helmet and armor combinations in Halo 5?
Well if Halo 5 actually had “Masterchief green” id try and make a Spartan that actually looks like a Spartan, but I usually do two colors that pop against each other. currently I have valkeriy heist armor, enforcer strong arm helmet and white armor with slashes of orange in them which kind of compliment the slashes in the fireteam crimson emblem that I’m using
I recommend perusing this thread if you want some armor combination ideas.
Personal favorite combinations include (helmet + armor):
- Centurion + Vigilant Watcher
- Centurion + Intruder Trespasser
- EOD + Indomitable
- Warrior Blade + Security Watchdog
All of them use Pepper primary with Crimson secondary, plus the Rampant visor.

I have too many to list. I change my outfit every time I play. But I follow some general rules:
- I usually don’t mix and match helmets and armor. I always like to wear a full set, if I can. - Since parts of the undersuit are always black, usually either my primary or secondary color ends up being pepper. Otherwise, I feel like there would be too many colors on my Spartan. - As a rule of thumb, the best looking helmets are the ones that have a visor that your Spartan’s eyes could actually see out of.
I’ve got two sets that I switch between every now and then:

Recon GEN1 + Mark VI Satrap (a salute to Recon’s first appearance in Halo 3)
Visor - Saturnine
Primary - Cerulean
Secondary - Pepper -
Deadeye + Achilles (my signature setup before the classic helmets appeared)
Visor - Flood
Primary - Pepper
Secondary - CarnelianSometimes I’ll keep the Cerulean-Pepper color scheme while wearing Deadeye + Achilles.
I like the spartan in my profile pic over there, but I don’t really care that much because it doesn’t mean anything.
I’d wear the ugliest armor in the world if I could unlock it by doing something challenging.
Arguing about the best way to wear your lootbox gear is like picking which cheeseburger you want at McDonald’s. It’s all terrible for you, preys on your human weaknesses, and you shouldn’t want it anyway.

I tend to see you as a yellow-and-black Spartan. I don’t know, it just seems to be the most reoccurring look for you.

There are a few reasons why I wear yellow. Back in my university days, I minored in art history where I learned about how yellow was associated with positive virtues, particularly in ancient China, which I thought was neat.
It’s also kind of a reference to Wario, who was my favorite character back when I played Smash a lot (Brawl, not the newest one). I even dressed up my Halo Reach Spartan in yellow and purple and the HP/parafoil chest because it looks like his overalls

I run Shinobi Heartless armor with Deadye helmet and Abyss visor. Something about it just makes me feel like a boss.

Don’t wanna throw in my own bias, but you should try out the Flood visor with the Deadeye helmet. It looks really sick in my opinion.

I’m the kind of guy that likes continuousness in his armor. As such, I typically run Stalker armor + Stalker helmet, with Autumn Visor (good luck getting a visor in this game, by the way) and Sage primary with Pepper as my secondary. It actually looks really, really nice.
