My connection here is slow, and me and my brother will be downloading whatever kind of patch they have at the same time, so it’ll be even slower.
All we want to do it play campaign after midnight, are we forced to downplay the multiplayer to play campaign? Or just the day 1 patch? That’s really lame if you are forced to download the multiplayer component.
Is it faster to start downloading digital now or go with the physical disc? For me I could care less I have plenty of hard drive space and I won’t be trading this in, but I’d like to play a couple hours before I go to bed. We don’t won’t to be up all night either.
If everything goes smoothly, pretty much at 12:01am your local server time. Sometimes the servers don’t cascade fast after midnight and it can take about a 1/2hr to find out if the game is launching as expected or bugged and awaiting a fix by those awesome tech support people loaded with coffee, red eyes and untouched hair.

But isn’t there a patch to play campaign? I guess we can opt out idk.
Must games on the Xbox one I found work after about 20 percent downloaded. But mutiplayer for me has always required 100% completed download. But this is from my personal experience.
There will be a day one title update. Speculation is the patch is also to improve the campaign AI as well as multiplayer functionality. With campaign being online coop only, if you wish to play together you have to download it. It isn’t broken up into segments, and isn’t optional. It’s flat out if you launch the game while connected to xbox live you have to download it or it will disconnect you from live.
I hope its not going to be a night of stairing at a bar slowly creeping to the end. Would really kill the mood. Like a fart when you’re making out. Not cool

Link to why you’d think so?
If you’re digital, you’re good to go. If you’re disc based, you have to update the patch.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. We like going to midnight releases sometimes, but if there’s some huge patch for single player its not worth, I’ll go digital. Any idea how big the patch is, not for multiplayer the game patch?

Yeah, with lots of games I’ve been lucky like that.

So the game update and multiplayer is rolled into one patch? Hmm, that really blows if true, i’d like to play with the updated patch for campaign, but I could care less about multiplayer day 1. Now, I really have no idea. Sounds like i’m forced to download the multiplayer maps to get the campaign patch lol
