OK so I was hoping to get people to vote on what they think the best AAs were but I realized that everyone was going to pick Camo and Pro-Vision.
So among the remaining armor abilties which do you think is the best? By “Best” I don’t mean the one that you use the most or the one that goes best with your playing style. I mean which armor ability do you think directly enhances your spartan’s ability to survive and kill the enemy most effectively.
For me JetPack. I play agressive.
for me it depends on the weapon… if i have a
if i have a dmr light rifle i use light shield
ar br sr and suppressor pro-vision
and is i want to have some…extra fun >:D sr camo
Thruster Pack is just SO useful…
For my playstyle, definitely.
The best is definitely camo if you don’t have a spine.
If you do, it’s probably thruster pack.
For me Camo, I love sneaking or hiding from people after getting one shotted it gives me a chance to regain shields and a chance to out gun the other player in a fair fight.
I love camo sniping to gives me an edge, I can snipe with out it but if there are enemies close by or they noticed where I was sniping from it gives you a better advantage at staying alive longer and dominating with the sniper if you can get away from danger and utilize the camo in that particular way.
I love the jet pack…its probably not the best…but navigating a map with it is just awesome. Catching people off guard from the air cant be beat!
Autosentry. Very good at distractions.
Love me some Jetpack. Great for navigating quickly and getting up onto platforms, etc. quickly. I feel like camo is for weinies.
I can’t really comment on this, because I admit I’m a jetpack addict. I’ll say that the jet pack is a lot weaker than it was in Reach, but I’ve mainlined it’s ability to shortcut around the map and if I quit using now I’ll die (over and over again)
When abusing wall hax and Boltshot, Promethean Vision.
Haven’t tried good ol Thurster Pack in a while. The distance covered isn’t that big compared to Campaign’s Thruster Pack but you can do some neat tricks with Man Cannons (Solace, bottom mid to red snipe or blue snipe for example).
Jetpack is just beast. It really shouldn’t be in the game IMO but as long as it’s there, it might as well be abused some more. At least it’s not as broken as it was in Halo Reach. I use it with my LR xD
Active Camo is…well it can be abused pretty damn well on spawn. I’ll leave it at that.
Regen field is nice for Spartan OPs, heard you can stack them and abuse in War Games. Not sure on this one but it has saved my life when i do use it in WG.
Auto Sentry…i don’t use it much though it is quite annoying to deal with when used correctly. It weakens you so you can be cleaned up by the Spartan who deployed it (meaning you’ll die faster if you challenge the wrong way).
Hardlight Shield is no Armor Lock (thank -Yoinking!- god 343 didn’t bring it back) but it’s useful for getting back into cover in long range duels. It can also block frontal attacks but at the cost of being slower, no jumping, no weapon firing etc. Not hard to beat since the MP version doesn’t last very long and you can flank to the sides for pummels.
