i’m a MKB player on pc, here’s my first experience with infinite insider and the default setting for aimming is simply really bad.
.
personally after about 2 hours of calibrating here’s my setting:
maximum: 200
+acceleration scale: 3 - accel power: 3
.
the above is the setting that allow in-game reticle to consistently move with the real-life mouse and let the reticle flow freely without me being forced swing my wrist harder or wider. the problem is it cost about 2-2.5 hours of testing and recalibrating in training just to get things right,
obviously the more casual player wouldn’t care enough to spend that much time or more in the setting menu trying to make the aimming comfortable. so i wonder if the default setting for infinite could be tweak as to be reasonably usable?
I had to tweak my settings on controller too before I was comfortable, but now it feels fantastic. Took a while, some help from the forums and a lot of tweaking back and forth.
Hopefully they address this and allow more preset profiles for new players to test so they can get closer to their ideal tuning in a shorter space of time.

Wow so, have to admit. Started this morning off with the above mouse acceleration settings and scales set and it does make a big difference…could be a placebo effect but shots actually feel like they are registering.

Honestly, I don’t understand it but it does feel better.

None of that sounds right to me.
What DPI do you use on your mouse? Your in game sensitivity is really 20? That’s absurdly high.
Almost exclusively you want to have acceleration off. You shouldn’t have different sens scales for vertical and horizontal.
Who knows though. Maybe you know something about this game and it’s engine that I don’t. Those settings sound crazy. I’ll give them a try just for kicks LOL.
I’m using 1.5 in game sens with 800 dpi and that feels inline with a lot of other shooters I play.

its the setting that make me feels comfortable aiming yeah, its a lot less about mouse setting/dpi and more about the reticle movement in the game are artificially forced to stabilized without mouse acceleration.
.
without mouse accel you will have problem when you need to react and swing your wrist but your mouse will not move at the same speed, and with higher sensitivity setting the screen shake as though your spartan has alzheimer.
so its best to have a 2.0 sensitivity and turn mouse accel on to have a stable screen and still be able to quickly react
