Splatter damage really should have been turned off. With everybody strafing, driving warthogs and ghosts without hitting people is difficult, and some people don’t even care if they run a teammate over.
For firefight I have thought similar things as everyone is on the same team. For regular warzone I disagree. Maybe for Mythic FF it could be left on to add to that difficulty concept.
I always apologise to people who I accidentally run over, but there are times where I’ve hit people not on accident due to players walking right in front of my Vehicle
Vehicles are kind of the meta in firefight to be honest. If you’re on foot I’d usually try find somewhere a bit out of the way to be. Running around next to a bunch of wraiths probably isn’t the safest thing to do.
Power weapons aren’t really as effective in firefight so players opt to use vehicles instead. Much more effective for firepower and survivability.
Honestly, best way to not get splattered is to be in a vehicle too. Though I will say there are plenty of players (myself included) who don’t like having gunner seat players.
You’re more combat effective in your own vehicle than in a gunner seat.

Not true. Certain rounds power weapons are much more efficient than vehicles.

I’m speaking in a general term for boss rounds with the exception of Grunt mechs.
I’ aware that weapons can be useful in certain scenarios but vehicles are king in firefight and always have been

Too add to this, even levels where a power weapon would be the better choice, it is a lot better to have multiple vehicles on the field to distract so your on foot power weapons don’t get one shot by bosses like the Grunt Mech.

If you think someone is being beyond careless (or especially if on purpose), and has run over 1-2 people, or is constantly hitting them - just sprint towards their vehicle.
if they’ve splattered more than 1-2 people already, you’ll get the option to boot them.
Then you can finish your match in peace without the griefer.
If it seems like an honest mistake, well just try to keep your awareness of your surroundings.

What i have been noticing a lot more with griefers is using either a banshee or phaeton and use the evasion maneuvers to flip over vehicles like tanks, wraiths or warthogs either off a cliff or just to destroy the vehicle itself. This still griefs without triggering a splatter or betrayal and its super frustrating.

Agreed
It would be a good thing to reduce the Splatter damage in general for the allied. Barely a ghost touch an allied he lose all his shield !

Oh absolutely. I’ve reported multiple people for flipping ghosts with shoulder charge as well. One guy spent all of rounds 2-4 doing it to me rather than contributing. He got me killed by a Wraith in round 2 and stole the one-shot sword ghost which died fast. He managed to flip me once in round 4 but I got in before him.
