Being put with noobs against average players 24/7

Most of all of my games on Halo 5 in high up ranking like onyx or diamond I am always thrown with team killers, noobs and complete imbeciles who are low ranks against high end players for example champions who know how to play properly. This is causing me to drop drastically rank wise and KD wise. Is anyone experiencing the same problem or is it just me being unlucky?

It really isn’t worth playing ranked unless you have regular team mates to play with. I don’t play 4v4 ranked. I don’t like the team based ranking. That is another downside of it. You can do really well but if your teammates aren’t good and lose primarily because of them you derank with them and get dragged down as well. They really should use individual based ranking. At least then when you get those bad teammates you won’t be dragged down with them.

Time to strap on the ole back pack.
but in all seriousness if you’re in Onyx tier I don’t recommend to que solo. You’re asking to lose as much as that sucks unfortunately that’s how Halo 5 is.
and mate that’s how it’s always been in every game. Though I feel it was worse in COD for me back in the good days

You seem to be a high platinum/low diamond player in slayer the past couple of seasons. That’s traditionally right about where I belong in slayer. About plat 4- diamond 5 ish.

This means you will play with and against high gold to low onyx players. It’s quite the skill gap in that range. I’ve been on both ends of the fence and no longer solo queu in slayer for that reason. I don’t like being that guy who goes 6-17, the only negative player and the reason we lost. I also hate losing when I break 20 with only a few deaths and every ine of my teammates are negative.

You want to keep pushing rank until you get that onyx? Get a team to play with consistently or learn to play ffa. It’s way better with a team.

judging by your game history you seem to be placing in the bottom half of your team consistently. just looked at the first two pages though. When i preform poorly typically try to pinpoint the issue by examining my gameplay and catching my mistakes in order to self correct. Things like pushing when you don’t have numbers, moving around the map without any clear plan, challenging too much, or just not hitting shots. its not always your teammates.

If an arena k/d of almost 1.5 is what happens when bad team mates cause your rank and k/d to drop drastically then I’m not sure just how bad I’m supposed to feel for you. Rank in this game (and in all other Halos) is a dark and twisted mechanism that you don’t want to know too much about. And which is meaningless. Your k/d, on the other hand, is what shows me that you may be right when you say your rank is being held down by bad team mates. I would say that you should be enjoying the slaughter and not worrying so much about whether your service record says diamond one or onyx five. If you’re not a champ then what does any of the labeling really matter?

You know? I consistently get placed in Platinum I in Team Arena and Slayer, and every season except for this one I have consistently been dragged into Gold. The reason being? I only play when I intend to seek out good teammates, or I’m having a really good day. It stinks, but then again, I know that Diamond and Onyx players get angry at me for causing them to lose.

This is why I haven’t even bothered with ranked arena in months. Due to random playtimes, I tend to be more of a “solo” player in H5G. & it feels awful when you do ok, (or better) & still end up de-ranking due to losing streaks. I don’t even know if I’ll ever finish my last two Breakout commendations because of this. A little frustrating, because it wasn’t always like that, & it feels like that change wasn’t well thought out.

Its not abnormal to be stuck with noobs, because I normally play with my friends on my team

Depending on the Breakout commendations in question, Action Sack may help

Only advice is to play with a team. I only play ranked to get my REQ pack for placing in a division. I guess it beats a useless emblem that I’ll never equip.

You’ve just described the last 10 years of MM in Halo, CoD, Destiny, Battlefield and everything else I’ve ever played :frowning:

FFA is your friend

UNSTOPPABLE & AGAINST ALL ODDS (not the Phil Collins song . . .). Those have been collecting dust since early fall . . .

agree with all this.

Why do they NOT have individual based ranking? Seems a bit odd. Puts too much pressure on the top players to carry the team more than they already are.

I am still 4 games away from my 10 to get ranked. I havent been able to find a game in awhile. So i think its just that pop is so low its just grouping most players together that hace aready dis thier 10 matches

I feel like if you have a high KD the game will give you low KD teammates. Whenevr i hover around a 5.0 i get teammates with 1.0 or teammates with 1000 more deaths than kills. IDK how the game tried to balance out teams but when i look at my teammates KD’s they are always way lower than everyone else in the lobby.

That’s just the way it is now. Best bet is to try to find solid players to play with.

Yeah you’re gonna need a team for those most likely. And/or a really good round of Paintball.

Best thing to do is not play solo. If you don’t have friends start inviting players to party/game who you think play well enough.

Yes, I’ve had the same issue in all 3 areas. Social, arena (ranked), and warzone. Since the ranked has been covered very well with the post above me I would just say play with friends on your fireteam.
But yes it’s annoying and frustrating as hell. Especially when you can even win on heroic wzff and the closest person to you is 100 lvls below you with a focused search. It sucks definantely.
