While I love it, I know that many players do not feel the same way about it, and their disappointment was multiplied after being so hyped up and positive about it. It makes sense that they’ll look at Halo 4 with caution. If the game is amazing, they’ll be positively surprised. However, if some people don’t like the game, they’ll already have no expectations about it, and it won’t be a disappointment.

> And some may say that I, and many others, blindly love this game due to it just being a Halo game, but that’s far from the truth. Some people have different opinions, but they shouldn’t assume that their opinion is the right one or think that others are lesser in any way due to having an opinion that is different. One expression explains this very well : “One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure”. What some may call bad gameplay mechanics, others call revolutionary and perfect.
Yep. I may seem like I am blindly loving and defending Halo 4.
But I have expressed my concerns, mainly on how the ranking system should to be better. For me, the ranking system is the biggest “issue” in Halo 4’s multiplayer. If it is like Reach, we’re going to get randomly matched up, and I hated that.
I can’t tell you how many times this has happened.
My Team
Brigadier
Warrant Officer
Recruit
Major
Enemy Team
General
Eclipse
Lt. Colonel
Forerunner
Its annoying. And I didn’t like how the ranks don’t always correspond to skill. It just seems weird obliterating a team of Field Marshalls and Eclipses.
A good ranking system will also solve some other people’s issues. A good ranking system will keep you with your skill level, preventing you from being crushed or crushing. It keeps games intense and close, how I imagine “competitive” games should be. You’ll be with those who care about ranks. Speaking with those dumb labels, competitive players will have a team of competitives and casuals will have a team of casuals. Therefore, less complaining for people like me to deal with!
