BEING POSITIVE

hello halo world

ok halo player i am so tired of hearing people -Yoink- and -Yoink- about a game they haven’t even played it yet !
we need to have a positive attitude about halo 4 !!! just like the book the secret. if you haven’t read this go read it now

so everyone stop being negative. and just be positive about halo 4 !!!

thank you everyone ! pass this along thank you !

THIS ^

While I am one of the people who are positive about Halo 4 and looking forward to it very much, I do believe that people are entitled to their opinions, be it concerns or otherwise.

If we are allowed to talk about how much the game looks great, why shouldn’t they be allowed to discuss how some things look not-so-great? Of course, they shouldn’t go needlessly bashing the game, but they shouldn’t blindly worship it.

Take a look at Halo Reach, for example. While I love it, I know that many players do not feel the same way about it, and their disappointment was multiplied after being so hyped up and positive about it. It makes sense that they’ll look at Halo 4 with caution. If the game is amazing, they’ll be positively surprised. However, if some people don’t like the game, they’ll already have no expectations about it, and it won’t be a disappointment.

However, I do agree that people should be more open regarding the changes coming in Halo 4 and shouldn’t judge them so harshly before playing the game. Just because some features are returning from Reach, it does not mean that they will play the same way.

In the end, I’m glad to see another member who is positive about Halo 4, it’s something that is much needed, and I’m happy that somebody else thinks like me! The game is going to be amazing!

im looking forward to it im trying to be as positive as i can but i keep getting a worrying feeling, and i even worry about the campaign sometimes i think will it still be a good story, will it still feel like a halo campaign (yes i know i can’t define what exactly is a halo feeling but you know what i mean) i cant say that im not worrying about the soundtracks because thats one of the things i worry about the most, im still not a fan of neil.

Well to be somewhat fair, we haven’t played it, but we have seen plenty of footage to base some opinions on the game whether it’s positive or negative.

Hard to be positive for the release of Reach 2.0

That is… pretty much exactly what I think.

Opinions and constructive (organized) critisicm is good. Mindless bashing and jumping to conclusions isn’t that good. Same with blind love.

I love the “you can’t judge if you haven’t played” mentality. That kind of thinking only results in getting screwed out of $60. I see bad gameplay mechanics and ugly maps before hand, I know damn well it’s going to suck, but you want me to fork over $60 anyway?

That has to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

I’ve played hundreds of games other than Halo. I know a bad game when I see one. I didn’t need to play Duke Nukem Forever to know it was going to suck, just like I don’t need to play Halo 4 to know it’s going to be the worst game since DNF.

Precisely. If people don’t like the game, they should try to help making it better using structured and valid points. Mindless complaining never helped anything (well, with the exception of Armour Lock), nor will it start doing so now.

And some may say that I, and many others, blindly love this game due to it just being a Halo game, but that’s far from the truth. Some people have different opinions, but they shouldn’t assume that their opinion is the right one or think that others are lesser in any way due to having an opinion that is different. One expression explains this very well : “One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure”. What some may call bad gameplay mechanics, others call revolutionary and perfect.

Yep. I may seem like I am blindly loving and defending Halo 4.

But I have expressed my concerns, mainly on how the ranking system should to be better. For me, the ranking system is the biggest “issue” in Halo 4’s multiplayer. If it is like Reach, we’re going to get randomly matched up, and I hated that.

I can’t tell you how many times this has happened.
My Team
Brigadier
Warrant Officer
Recruit
Major

Enemy Team
General
Eclipse
Lt. Colonel
Forerunner

Its annoying. And I didn’t like how the ranks don’t always correspond to skill. It just seems weird obliterating a team of Field Marshalls and Eclipses.

A good ranking system will also solve some other people’s issues. A good ranking system will keep you with your skill level, preventing you from being crushed or crushing. It keeps games intense and close, how I imagine “competitive” games should be. You’ll be with those who care about ranks. Speaking with those dumb labels, competitive players will have a team of competitives and casuals will have a team of casuals. Therefore, less complaining for people like me to deal with!

Well MOST of the people who don’t like what they have seen so far, they’re just stating their opinions on the game, after all, they are entitled to do so.

Halo 4 is not like any other Halo title on the market, yet it still, by the looks of it, feels the same. I have no doubt Halo 4 will be great.

This, there’s not much more possible to add to this thread.

Im so tired of people blindly worshiping a game they havent even played yet.

especially since the people that do cant even form a valid counterargument against negative arguments.

praising a game you havent played it is basically exactly what i just suggested you did, and you just admitted it in that post.

It will not be awesome for competitive players, but you clearly know nothing about that argument.

lol dude what r u talking about ? how do you know it won’t be competitive when you haven’t played it and plays who did play it didn’t even play that much. I’m just trying to be positive about this news where getting ! you should to who knows 343 might have something special for completive players ! we don’t know much right now just be positive about the game ! i will love it no matter what because I’m a true halo player !

I’m in the middle between positive and negative. I can’t wait to play the campaign, and that’ll be great and all but, the multiplayer worries me. Instant spawns, loadouts etc etc. I just seems like too much change. When Halo 4 was announced I nearly pissed myself in excitement, I wanted a ‘‘classic’’ Halo game, like Halo 2 and 3, change is good, but too much is bad.

But we shall see…

I’m being positive! I think the game will be swell, to say the least.
