Being manipulated into signing up

I read on a news site that there is a free beta this weekend. I took the time to sign up here but I didn’t get anything in return. It took a very long time. Now I feel defrauded. I will surely not buy this game just for this reason now. It is disgusting to make users think they will be allowed to play the free beta but then get nothing.
This is very frustrating. I sincerely hope this game fails miserably.

you were supposed to sign up before the test not after it started lol

  1. The news sites state “for any future flights” almost always. You have yourself to blame if you missed this.

  2. It takes 10 minutes at most.

  3. This isnt fraud, dont even try to say that it is.

  4. Your misunderstanding of simple writing is your own fault, not the games, not the companies. Yours. Your fault.

  5. Wishing I’ll success on a game because of your inability to read is childish and, frankly, stupid.

Sorry you feel that way OP, but it’s certainly not the case.

The first weekend of this flight was invite only and you had to have signed up by the 13th of last month for a chance at getting an invite. For this weekend they had indeed opened things up more, allowing non Halo Insiders the chance to jump in - rather than going through the sometimes messy process of sending out invites.

If you are playing on Xbox you can simply install and open the Xbox Insider Hub on your console, select the preview and install. You can find the full instructions here: https://support.halowaypoint.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407697529236

For playing on PC this weekend, you’ll need to locate a friend code. Friend codes were sent to exiting Halo Insiders with active flight invitations. The code can be redeemed on Halo Waypoint and gives access to both Xbox and Steam. There are and have been codes given away here on Waypoint (pinned buddy code thread in the Infinite forums), reddit, twitter, discord, etc…

I know you don’t mean that, as it’s not a very nice or constructive thing to say so you’ll get a pass this time. Understandable to be frustrated, but no need to take it out on the people just trying to build a cool game.
