Being ban for leaving 1 game

I got banned for leaving 1 game cause they put 2 unranked with a onyx 1575 and a diamond 4 with plat 3 and gold 2 and my team was 2 unranked and a gold 2 and plat 2 me and my friend unranked after the match was over half done the score was us 8 to 27 they really need to work on the ranking matchmaking pairing one guys rank/ level was 126 or something around there I mean I’m not all butt hurt about it but just annoyed…

Not even going to bother looking at his history. You don’t get a ban for one quit… also you should use the ban thread at the top of the page.

me and 3 other players got a 15 minute ban for leaving 1 game. I’m pretty sure it was my first leave in quite some time, not adding disconnects.

I was pretty much surprised that I got banned for leaving 1 game.

I usually would but it does get a little tiring. To my knowledge the banhammer has a fairly long memory and does not differentiate between disconnects and quits to prevent people turning off routers etc.

I’m going to check his history now. But first, I guess at least four DNFs.

Here we go again, another ban thread that doesn’t bother using the official master ban thread that probably has multiple DNFs (Apologies if you don’t).

A lot of people still think a ban is the result of “leaving”
Implying that bans happen when they make a conscious effort to leave.

It actually bans for “not finishing the game all the way through to coming back into the lobby” as long winded as that sounds.
This means any disconnect for any reason before someone wins and moves everyone to the post game lobby.

It also tracks team kills, and afk shenanigans
