Being a fool

Describe a time of where you felt like a fool during a game. By fool I mean stupid or…yeah stupid. I normally have something to start the thread off with…but I don’t have one at this time.

The first time I got a scattershot, I tested the ricochet by shooting straight at the wall in front of me.

Hmm…

-I respawn in BTB on Ragnarok. I immediately toss two plasmas into the air as far as my spartan can and then I sprint for the main hill. A moment later I get a triple betrayal because I stuck my team’s rocket hog that was already in flames from a mantis confrontation

-I run over my friend twice in the same match with the same warthog

-I’m aiming my splaser at an enemy banshee and end up lasering our team’s banshee instead

-I get an Incineration Cannon in my personal ordinance and immediately suicide with it.

-I shoot a team mate in the back with a rocket in a mode with no friendly-fire. Bright side is he gets a free rocket launcher to play with.

-My first time using a Hard Light shield I deflect a fuel rod right into my team mate.

-Fire a binary rifle and it ricochet’s off a ramp and into a team mate

-Similar to the above post, firing a Scattershot at an enemy, missing the enemy but having the ricochet kill you instead.

-Personal favorite: Calling down an ordinance and having the drop pod kill either yourself, or even better having it kill a team mate

Saving the best (worst) for last.
-CTF on Settler. One point to win and it’s overtime. Game’s lagging. I’m driving the carrier back to base in a warthog. I drive off the cliff and the game ends in a draw.

Grab rocket launcher, jump for height advantage, shoot wall or low ceiling. Death.

> Grab rocket launcher, jump for height advantage, shoot wall or low ceiling. Death.

I’m pretty sure we’ve all been guilty of this at some point. It’s a classic blunder ^^

Here’s another one:
Firing a rocket into an enemy controlled hill only for the rocket to make contact with a team mate who dashed into the hill while the rocket was in transit. Betrayal!

playing a match of CTF, i took the sniper, and the classic noob guy was trying to betray me for the sniper (i killed it cuz he was annoying) so after that i made a good match getting one flag and helping my team to get the other ones and at the end almost to finish 5-0 with 4 flags on our side and the invincible medal.

i was like in some ‘‘mental rampage’’ and some teammate came around the corner sprinting and i sniped he’s face (i notice 2 seconds later i killed a red spartan…not blue)

instant boot… bye medal and good video ._.

The other day I was playing team slayer on Haven and I went to jetpack over the wing to open for the rockets. Then I realized I was playing legendary slayer, fell to my death and didn’t get rockets. Gah… Felt pretty stupid after that.

falling of haven and shutout uncountable times…lol

When I make the bad decisions in order to get out of sticky situations.
I’m taking Halo seriously - not by shouting at people but I try to do my best - so, every time I die, when there was a way to survive, I feel… ULTRAdumb.

Well the other day on Team DLC I am sneaking behind the guy with the rockets on the enemy team, I see him reloading and I go punch the fusion coil instead of the guy…

And of course the guy lived.

Remind me never to be your team mate haha.

In all honesty, the one about deflecting a Fuel Rod into your team mate is impressive and hilarious, I’d be in stitches.

At least I don’t do it on purpose ^^

On the other hand I’m a betrayal magnet whenever I play with my friend in matchmaking
We both have absolutely horrid luck with certain vehicles, and this bad luck carried over from Reach into Halo 4.

Whenever he gets into a Wraith, I’m always getting run over or wraith-bombed by him (I want to say his gamertag, but I dunno if that’d be within Waypoint’s rules)

A running joke between us is that I’m not allowed to be the driver when we get into a warthog. Anytime I turn a corner there’s always a Mantis or something there!

Every time I pick up the rocket. I always manage to waist the first 2 shots on nothing :stuck_out_tongue:

> Every time I pick up the rocket. I always manage to waist the first 2 shots on nothing :stuck_out_tongue:

Guess we have that in common. First two shots, I miss. Third and Fourth, I actually make a hit.

OT: Along with what I said with the Rocket Launcher, I have, out of stupidity, shot the Incineration Cannon too close and end up, not only killing the opponent, but myself in the process.

Playing Halo 4 for over a year and having to ask how to barrel roll in the Banshee. I always give heavy vehicles away to my team mates plus I changed by control scheme for Halo 4.

Yep, I IS STOOPID.

Foolish Insanity

I’ve done it more than once. FACEPALM

Not exactly me being a fool, but how about when some random dude exterminates his entire Dominion team with one rocket?

Checking a text message while in the Mantis.

^^ Hahaha whoops!

The onle one i can really think of now, would be being low shield. 1v1 throwing a frag but having it bounce off the wall infront of me instead of down the corridor, then me back tracking to disengage from the fight, running backwards right over my nade… Damn.

I used to go into no-radar playlists without a mic, therefore not contributing and allowing enemies easy opportunities to flank my team.

Man, I sure was silly back then.
