One of my favorite Halo maps honestly! It needs to return to ranked with tweaks. Narrows meets Construct meets Ascension meets Epitath!
Iâve really enjoyed CTF and Fiesta on Behemoth.

Behemoth is the worst map in my opinion. After a death you often spawn out in the open with just an AR and SK, while there are often enemies with BR, snipers and vehicles. Before you can grab a decent weapon to fire back at longer ranges you first need to cross the open, because all the better weapons are in the middle (at the 2 âbasesâ where the BR spawns, or in the 2 towers where the sniper/skewer and vehicles are). If you play against a good team, it often leads to getting spawnkilled. Itâs just no fun.
The map is just way to open with almost every spot on the map having huge sight lines (even in the structure!). If they gave a bit more cover and areas without no long sight lines ĂĄnd fix the spawns, it would already be much better.
Just use the rocks as cover thats why they are there.
I quit playing regularly when they took behemoth out of ranked to appease the cry babies. It was the only map that was different than all the others. The other maps are so tight I feel like im playing on MLG Amplified EVERY SINGLE GAME
I strongly disagree. I love Behemoth aesthetically, donât get me wrong, but functionally it can be a pretty bad map for most Arena modes. Iâll concede that it can be an interesting map for objective modes, but itâs far worse in Ranked, where the only starting weapon is something that has little to no range penalty on a map with no cover.
It has itâs moments. However it often gets far too campy around the two towers (Fiesta with Sword/Hammer bearer at the bottom, Tactical Slayer with both teams doing pot shots across the map). I like Attrition and CTF on that map.
totally agree, its honestly my favorite map, i would say that it would be more fun 6v6 than 4v4 but i still love it.
If they fixed the spawns and made the rocks taller for better cover, I think it would go from being one of least liked maps to one of the favorites.
It has the most âclassicâ feel of all the maps.
It depends on the mode.
I find it fun on Fiesta, Team Slayer, and Quick Play CTF.
Absolutely terrible in Tactical Slayer and Ranked CTF.
Some tweaks to the map, mostly when it comes to the spawns and cover, may help it but thatâs how I feel about Behemoth at the moment.
I think Behemoth is one of the worst maps, functionality wise. Halo wise, you think it would make a lot of sense. Man canons, multi tier levels with ways to navigate them. However, the map feels focused on constantly pushing towards the towers. The outer areaâs of the map are essentially an awkward no mans land. These are extremely highlighted with a bad vehicle system and poor sandbox balance. The middle of the map is basically this hyper awkward death zone if you do choose to âhang outâ there. So I guess my point being, most of this map looks like an aesthetically pleasing Halo map. But it just doesnât translate well into gameplay. Lets put it this way. I personally didnât love high ground or Last resort. (I still enjoyed the hell out of them) But comparing a map like this to those two really emphasize the missed mark on the design of Behemoth. Those maps are God tier in comparison to this. Maps designed 15 years ago had moving and interactive elements for crying out loud. A game that should be moving the bar forward did nothing with maps like behemoth. Just a bland map that doesnt work with Infinites play style.
The only real issue with the map is how youâre pretty vulnerable right when you spawn sometimes. I never thought it was so egregious that it deserved the online hate itâs gotten.
And that only happens really when a team gets a good âUâ setup, which has always been heavily rewarded in Halo in the past anywayâŚ

I love it in fiesta. Itâs really fun to play. Better than the majority of the small CQC style maps of infinite.
I bet itâs a great Team Snipers map.
On a side note - I wish we had two elephants on either side of the map.

Behemoth is unique feels like Mystery place to me. I would love to see a Night Time Version of this map. Hopefully When Forge comes out that option is there.
