before you get too giddy

The people making Halo 4 are the same people who added damage bleed-through back to Reach AND THEN TOOK IT BACK OUT.

Halo 4 is doomed to mediocrity.

So you’re saying that once something is set, then it shouldn’t be changed, even if the tools and controls exist to do so, and analysis shows that it isn’t providing the intended effect?

Respectfully disagree.

I liked bleedthrough, as I can’t stand obsessive armor-lockers, but I also understand that people who use armor lock have just as much of a say as I do. I simply go to another playlist if it really bothers me.

I think it’s ridiculous that people are calling verdicts for this game before any of us have seen more than 60 seconds of actual footage.

I said nothing about armor lock so I am not sure where you are going with that statement…

I am just pointing out that in 343’s rather short time at the controls, they have done some good things only to follow them up with utterly insane decisions.

For instance, having a “voting system” to determine if TU was right for slayer (good) but making the voting choices TU Elite Slayer or Vanilla DMRs…that’s an INSANE way to get accurate feedback. I am all for the TU changes but not at the expense of playing Elite slayer.

They did a great job on reinserting bleed through…and then took it back out across the board in favor on double beatdown boredom where bullets don’t count.

I think Halo 4 will most likely be more of the same; a couple of good things mixed in with mind numbing, terrible gameplay decisions that all add up to a mediocre experience.
