Before I Got On The Forums

I did not hear a word about complaints in Reach or Halo 4. I thought the DMR was cool and the warthog aswell in Halo Reach. I loved the Campaign both in Reach and Halo 4. Before, I thought Ordinance drops were ok.

When I came on the forums I thought there would be people talking in a good way. And now I find people screaming about how 343i are devil worshippers.
Stuff like bring Bungie back really just saddens me.

I wasn’t playing when Halo 2 and 3 were played none stop, but I wish I kinda was so
that I could experience competitive matches that most of you praise.

I thought the majority of you loved Halo 4. But guess not.

I understand the problems with the game. Stuff like file share, custom games, and
community interaction. But when you respond with,"-Yoink- halo…it is dead," no one
is going to look at.

Everyone (in my opinion) should just calm down. 343i is releasing a patch
soon. People on this forum need to be a little more civilized.

There is some evidence for the fear that Microsoft (which is the driving force behind 343 studios) is going to basically turn Halo into a cash cow, with no real intent on making any Halo games for the sake of continuing the franchise.

There a lot of problems with the game, not so much from a mechanical standpoint but from a creativity and balance standpoint. Some of these problems are actual features in the game, something that a patch would do little to repair.

I’ll list some right now.

  • There’s little explanation for why the covenant are on Requiem, aside from religious extremism. Furthermore, the Covenant have largely been reduced to things to shoot at; a far departure from what they were in the other games.

  • The Grunts (Unngoy) do not breathe Oxygen, as they are from a planet that evolved a Methane-based ecology. However, in Halo 4, many of them have exposed mouths…oxygen would likely be toxic to organisms that require methane to respire. They were also supposed to be arthropods, while in Halo 4 they have scales and claws like a reptile analog or something. Same with the Jackals; in all previous games, they had the qualities of both birds and reptiles or dinosaurs, but suddenly they have huge, beefy lizard heads in Halo 4? With big, sharp teeth? How is that explainable?

I could go on. 343 industries told us that they would be careful, and really, only the unimportant things have remained the same. Everything else is different, in the wrong ways and for the wrong reasons.

Halo CE, 2, and 3 are great games, so is Reach and so is Halo 4.

Forums have developed a gravitational pull for rage and complaints and really dont represent the feelings of the overall community.

Its how we roll =D
