Idea 1:
In 2531, we play as Jerome-092 as he leads Red Team. We complete many missions involved in the Battle of Arcadia, while keeping ties to what happened in Halo Wars. What happened with Red Team is they went MIA and hadn’t returned until 2552 to help defend Reach, so realistically, the game could easily fill a bunch of gaps that happened while they were MIA. Or it could do a flash forward type of thing to their missions during the Fall of Reach.
Idea 2:
A full campaign covering Blue Team’s experiences early on. Missions involve them as young Spartans capturing a rebel leader, we get to see Sam in action before later in the campaign where Sam dies defending the explosive in the Covenant frigate. If not this, there’s so many missions and battles a game can cover for Blue team. Battle of Sigma Octanus V, Battle of Reach, Battle of Earth, Battle of Onyx. All of them have amazing stories.
All in all, creating a game like this would open up so many doors to tie things together. So many Easter egg opportunities as well. Let us find the skulls in the campaign in order to unlock them to use by the way, and go with a simpler Menu screen, Halo 5’s menu screen is so dark and murky. The multiplayer for this game would be Spartan-II’s as well so no more scrony spartans for the time being.
A game similar to ODST but instead of being just an ODST, we play as someone from ONI who has been tasked with x, this would be a great chance to look at how ONI works in a bit more detail and so we can start building up to Halo 6, tie the game in with how ONI deals with the whole AI thing, maybe the missions are visiting different ONI sites and recovering information which may be important. Only an idea but I think it would be interesting.
I don’t have an idea to spare but, I have a feeling 343i are going to create some kind of game relating to locke, before he was even a spartan IV. Not too sure but maybe that will happen.

Perhaps we are a Spartan V working for ONI and similar to the Reach campaign, we play as ourselves with our armour. Reach did so well because you got to be YOU in the campaign. I like your idea a lot.

Yes I like that Idea actually, then we can have some actual customisation, not this watered down Halo 5 trash, something like reach would be perfect (and should be a standard for Halo tbh)

The Spirit of Fire/Arcadia Red Team never made it to Reach in time for Operation: RED FLAG. They were still adrift in space after the Spirit lost its slipspace drive at the Etran Harborage. So this idea wouldn’t make any canonical sense and would more than likely get hardcore lore fans up in arms.

Personally don’t have much against this idea, though I’d much prefer something of the sort be handled with ODSTs. The idea of exploring the opening years of the Human-Covenant War from the viewpoint of part of the UNSC’s regular forces appeals to me more. Not to mention that I really don’t think that a game can really cover all of those events properly without confusing people.

Another view point of reach maybe? Instead of noble we can be bucks team? More city battles and see how it all went down on the front lines. I wouldn’t mind being a marine on the front lines sometimes too. Kinda like how COD 4 MW switched between soap for spec ops and Jackson for frontlines. Of course not that same keep the halo feel and campaign
If we get a side-game, I hope we don’t have to go through something already explored in the previous Halo games. Like, I get it would be neat to go back to Reach, but I feel like the more story threads we have that keep going back to previous plot points the smaller the Halo universe feels. I would be super excited to play something new, exploring a part of the galaxy we haven’t seen yet.
And, while I like Locke, and I guess Jerome is kind of cool (I have no idea who he is), I kind of want a game where we either get to choose who we play as (like Reach) or finally get the chance to play as a female spartan. (-_- )
I’m still kind of bummed that that didn’t happen with Halo 5. But whatevs. I like Locke, so it was ok.

Maybe, but I really don’t want to retread the Fall of Reach. At this point we’ve dealt with the planet enough times that the general gist of it (humanity’s greatest military stronghold falls to the Covenant) bores me. I’d really just prefer we deal with more conflicts that came before 2552.
I love the idea of playing as Blue team during the peak of the human-covenant war. Only problem with this is technically they didn’t have energy shields at that point. But we have seen Red team with them in Halo Wars so maybe that got retconned and Spartans have has shields since Mjolnir was introduced now?
I don’t think there should be anything between now and Halo 6, with the exception of the MCC updates, of course.
The team should be firing on all cylinders to make Halo 6 the best it can be, so that they can conclude the ‘Reclaimer Saga’ and move on to more interesting endeavours in the future.
A game where you alternate between an ODST or Marine and an insurectionist
Part of me wants to see a game where we follow the early Spartan 2’s as they fight insurrectionists. Part of me also wants to see Reddit get angrier more than it already does as they claim 343 is destroying heroes. It would be interesting to me to see early Spartan operations up to the earliest Covenant attacks post-Harvest.
Multiplayer armors have a fair amount of customization that can pull the system from Halo 5 and have it make sense. Spartan armor wasn’t as customizable at the time so you get a kind of ODST system (changing head models but bodies kept consistent).
- Mark 4 (Halo wars) - Mark 4 (G) - Chiefs early prototype - Halo Legends - Forward unto dawnAnd they could add the prototype helmets like Commando, EVA, EOD, ARGUS, CQB, Pilot, Operator, Air Assault
Most of the weapons would be human, and you have a reason to cut back on resources since early Spartan operations are classified, so the only ones who’d see them are enemies. You’d also lack shields but we know the armor can take a beating so they could just bring back indicators from ODST and the health pack system.

Thanks for the response, if Red team was to be in a game what do you think it would have them do?
And I agree, a second ODST game would be really nice. I could see us being our own ODST (Much like Halo Reach) where we customize him all we want and get to use them in the campaign. As for people being confused, I’m pretty sure the Halo community is one of the most informed of their game’s lore so I’m sure a few date stamps here and there would help keep everyone on track haha.

I remember 3 years ago I made a Halo: Harvest game cover. This has and will always be a game idea for me.

I’ve always said I wanted an ODST game where instead of stealth, we got to be in the heat of battle. Dropped right into enemy lines an going in hot. I can picture amazing lighting and explosions happening, running through all the dust and killing the Covenant. I think another ODST game is exactly what we need. I found with Halo 5 we pushed forward in the story WAY too quickly.

I’m glad you agree, the Spartan-II’s have always been my favourite. I really just want a game on Blue Team because I enjoy Frederic so much, he’s my favourite character in the franchise and I want to learn more about his story.

I like your idea! And Jerome-092 is a Spartan-II, just like Master Chief. He is one of 4 Spartan-II’s considered to be the best leaders, next to John-117, Frederic-104, and Kurt-087(?). Because of that, he’s the leader of Red Team. If you have seen Halo Wars cutscenes of the Spartans, he’s the guy with the red stripes on him.
I think the reason a lot of us want games about already told stories is that, since the Halo universe is so massive, there’s so many holes to be filled and questions to be answered. And although unanswered questions is what keeps a story alive, I really don’t like the Forerunner concept that the new games have, and really want to learn more about the early stages of Halo. Reach did so well because it was early Halo.
