Been watching arma 3 halo.... anyone else want boots a boots on the ground halo game?

Just imagine it you and 3 other marines in a tactical shooter. Meta progression and custom weapons with the main goal being to show just how horrifying the war is from a marines view. IT would be a rather cool horror shooter in halo.


This is more an idea pitch then anything even if it will never happen.


Halo: hazops

Gameplay pitch: Play as an elite UNSC squad sent to a colony that has gone dark. Gear up, fight along side allies both player and AI in nature and descover just what happened to the colony.

Gameplay loop: 4 player co-op squad based shooter where each player is a marine, meta progression for modifying weapons and abilities alternate classes like Playing a jackal or even a sanghelli Each player must pick their weapons and class changing depending on the situation and working through the challanges of a colony gone dark.


Features of the game, players will get to pick between 4 classes each with their own active and passive ability along with that they can select gear and armor for the situation. Knowing what to bring and prepping based on intel is key.

By default each player has a primary, a secondary, an active, and a grenade meta progression upgrades allow them to modify all of these. From having an MA5B with a 40mm GL, to bringing a 6 pack of biofoam to eal your allies. Classes help to modify your gear with each allowing for more speciallized items in the slot.

Example you can go medic to bring 2 actives and have more healing options, you can go heavy to bring in dismounted turrets at the start of a mission, go trouper to have 2 primary weapons, or go plasma specialist to bring in plasma weapons. each class changes the gameplay.

along with that pick between 3 races, human, jackal, and sanghelli. All with their own pros and cons. Humans are the jack of all trades no down sides no up sides, Jackals have less health but they have a passive slot that others do not. elites have more health and start with shields (a late meta progression for other grousp) but are limited to plasma specialist rolls.

Once you pick your class and your weapons it is time to explore the colony and find out what happened and why it went dark.

Halo Hazops is meant to be a more grounded halo with a more horror themed play as such your enemy is not only banished soldiers but insurrectionists and late in the story the flood. The mystery of what happened deepening as you find out just how bad things are.

Through the story in order you will fight banished mercs, Insurrectionist survivors and finally a flood hive that threatens to spread to the rest of the galaxy. Can you survive the horrors of war, solve the mysteries of the colony and stop the flood?


Bad game pitch aside I just want a co-op focused halo where we are not a spartan, hell I would be happy for an ODST2
