I was playing againest a player called [redacted] when all this happened and I sent three hours trying to fix my xbox til I was able play matchmaking. If there is anything that can happen to stop this for others in future please help out.
One, edit the name or this topic will be locked and two, if you play against anyone from KSI, just quit out, most of them are no older then 16 to be honest, not to mention having the worse rep back on Bnet. You most likely got DDOSed real hard. Simple just report em to Microsoft and they’ll take care of it.
i highly suggested that you get rid of the gamertag before lock this thread or hide your comment because 343 dose not allowed gamertags to be mention on the forums. thank you.

Sounds like a DDOS attack rather than a hack. Find their gamertag from your recent players list and file a complaint against them. Also, like others have said, remove their gamertag from your post as you’re not allowed to call people out on the forums.
No idea what’s going on there but don’t post gamertags on the forums, it’s against the rules.
Also, to the people quoting the OP telling him to remove the gamertag. You’re not helping, you’re just quoting the gamertag ensuring that it can’t be removed from the thread. Effectively sabotaging any chance he had at following your advice.
> as if all 4 of you were dumb enough to quote the gamertag whilst telling him to remove it…
Let us all take the time to learn from each other.
Yes please remember that when coaching others:
a) Don’t quote the call out if suggesting to edit said call out. By all means continue coaching in a polite manner but please do not repeat the name/group/offense. (This counts for offensive words too
b) Be careful of how you direct thoughts, be them opinions or advice. Some wordings can be taken as direct attacking. Next time instead of the word “Dumb” try the words “Weren’t thinking” or something else along that line.
