I took a couple months off Halo and here I am. I played a ton of Overwatch and this changed my game play entirely for fps in general. I just play much more team orientated now than I had in the past. So here I am in Halo, fighting with my teammates, coming to their aid if I hear gunshots or see the tag flash yellow, looking at my radar and seeing red dots and then looking in that direction, the usual for a Halo player. Or maybe not. People seem not look at the radar, at least on my team. People seem to not fight alongside their teammates, at least on my team. People seem to not hear gunshots or see the yellow flash on the tag of a teammate in combat, at least on my team. I started to genuinely consider that people just play with their audio muted. Then I more rationally thought that they replaced the game audio with music, podcasts, etc. This is fine, I can accept this. It’s just, not everyone does this. I know that. So how come no one can hear gun fire? I get not everyone has a headset, but they have speakers in their TV or for their monitor right? Like ok, you weren’t paying attention to the radar and didn’t see the enemy, but you at least heard the shots go past your head and into the wall next to you, right? No? So now I’m going to die. Cool. Oh, you saw that I died, so now you’re going to turn around and try to see what happened? Well, too bad you already have two shots into you before you make your 180. Uh oh, easy double for that guy. This happens all too much. Might I add that post game leader boards show that the majority of people on my teams are diamond-onyx. :::))))
No, I’m not good. I know. Sometimes you just have to be able to do a 1v1, I know. I just need to get better, I know. That’s all true. This doesn’t excuse poor situational awareness from other people. Fellow community, please please please just pay attention kind of, a little bit, maybe? Don’t worry, it doesn’t make you a try hard just because you pay attention. (It does make you a sore loser for going onto the forums and venting
)
