Been a bit of a lull. Am I missing something?

I’m sure I like Halo 4 as much as most people who frequent these forums do, but it seems like things have been rather sleepy on the Halo front. It’s hard to enjoy a game when it seems like everyone is off playing other things and I get the feeling like people are waiting for something new to pique their interest. It’s been almost a year since I bought H4 and it still feels like half a game. Some of the new game hoppers are nice but I’m getting the impression that H4 was a runt. Is there some next big piece of news that we’re all waiting for or is this it?

Let me clarify that I’m not trying to slam the game; I like it a lot. It’s just getting kind of anemic.

Champion’s Bundle?

I feel like I keep getting drawn away from Halo. I came back to Halo 4 this month and really enjoyed it, but after seeing CoD Ghosts reveal, I pretty much lost interest in Halo fairly quickly. I noticed a lot of people with pre-order armor at low ranks, which I can only assume they pre-ordered the game and barely played it and are coming back from time to time.

But…Call of Duty Ghosts is a joke. (Dont get me wrong, Halo isn’t my cup of tea and I’m not trying to be a fanboy here)

Yeah, I just look at all of these cool launch games for the Xbox One next to what looks like another obligatory more-of-the-same CoD title and it’s just “meh”.

That might just be me though.

Whatever, off-topic. Champions Bundle will spice things up in a week.

Mainstream gamers.

Yes it is. Btw do you know what game is better than the Call of duty series, all sorts of games.

Rainbow fail.

I’m much more of a Halo guy than a CoD guy, but the CoD Ghosts multiplayer reveal had me pretty stoked. So many features in that game that I’ve been wanting since CE. It’s what Halo 4 should’ve been. By that, I mean it adds new features–features that complement its gameplay instead of detracting from it. Unfortunately, Halo 4 actually took out more than it put into the franchise.

I still have hope for Halo Xbox One though.

Lol who cares.

Most the features in Ghosts like leaning, sliding, jumping over stuff, etc., they say it like this is the first game to do that kind of stuff when there was some other games that have done it before.

Also in a nutshell I will never be buying $60 DLC anymore.

Yes, but at least 343i has experimented with a great many things and they have much potential to learn from it.

Oh, and OP, the Champions Bundle coming out very soon should bring back some interest. I am excited to don my Helljumper armor once again!

Not the first to do it, of course, but the first to do it and make it fluid–you can still aim and fire while performing “advanced movement.”

I love all halo games equally including halo 4 and will forever. But I have other games I need to play and enjoy so I’m taking a break but I always come back once in a while.

Honestly, Ghosts looks really fun.
Especially Squad Customization!

It should entertain me until Halo Xbox One releases.

That’s what people always say when a new Call of duty game is revealed, but once they get the game, the disliking begins.

Same with Halo games to

Yeah, but I’m not other people.
While everyone else hated MW3, it was my favorite of the CoD games.

Also, Call of Duty players always hate their games because the games are usually terrible.
But they’re not good enough to play games that take skill, like Halo.
So they just whine about the game, while continuing to play it.

I enjoy playing Call of Duty and telling everyone that Halo’s better.
They all assume I’m bad at CoD.
But since I’m a skilled Halo player, I beat them at their own game, reminding them that Halo players are superior.
It’s good fun.

Yes true, but I notice it more in the game I mentioned.

This game is dead, and 343 is doing nothing to try and get the population back.

After playing Halo for 7 years I am also getting bored. Can’t imagine what the people who have been playing for 13 years feel like…

If the CoD Ghosts gameplay had you stoked then you should check out the BF4 gameplay is much better and it does actual dynamic maps MUCH better not a staged event that happen everytime you play that map. I agree with your comparison between CoD and Halo 4 as well but I still enjoy Halo 4 enough to not buy GHOSTS now BF4 might make me put Halo 4 in the shelve for a long time.

As much as I am disappointed with Halo 4 I still enjoy it and I have been playing since 2001 and I am sure ill enjoy the next Halo in the Xbox One
