I made a forum about questions for Monitors and one that intrigued me was on becoming a Forum monitor. How could someone become a forum monitor? I usually end up here on my spare time reading and commenting on forums, as well as, making my own sometimes. I know you dont get paid but sure sounds like a fun responsibility. Im not directly saying I want to be a forum monitor but… how does someone become a monitor? Whats the process or is there a certain rare event every once in a while or what?
When a spot on the mod team opens up they call you.
The response everyone usually tells you is that if you are helpful around the forums, at least enough to be noticed, you stand a good chance of being asked to join the next time we are looking for new members.
The real way starts with the Challenge of 7 - trials to determine your worthiness to wield the mighty ban-hammer. You cannot wear socks during the trial, you will need at least 3 biscuits, a hairbrush, 7 small twigs of exactly the same size (1 for each trial) and a hammock. The hammock is for me. There shall be no questions about the hammock. You may ask 1 question during the 3rd trial and it may not be about my hammock.

You join the mod team by having them come to you. Basically, you join them the same way you’d join the Dark Brotherhood.

I think a good idear would be to switch the team up each year and selecting new members from there achievements from the last. this way the mods could decide to take a year off knowing that if they do well they can come back to if they enjoy it whill also giving new members to compete with them
