All the legendary cutscene does is add dialogue to the scene. I haven’t seen it yet, but apparently it has some lore implications for possible dlc. It’s like how Halo 4’s legendary ending added the Chief’s face at the end, not much but still a slight change.
Actually you don’t get an extra cutscene, I have finished the game on normal and legendary, and the difference is the normal version doesn’t have the voices over the cutscene.
idk if you’re actually struggling on Legendary but get good I guess.
Why not be happy for yourself that you beat it at the highest difficulty level?

Halo 3: You got EOD armor for beating Legendary
Halo 3 ODST: You unlocked Dare as a Firefight character.
Halo 4: You get the Mark VI armor for Multiplayer for beating Legendary
Halo MCC: Beat all campaigns on Legendary to get Helioskrill armor for Halo 5 (later added to REQ packs)

I’d wager because it’s just another reminder that the real customization is being locked behind credit card transactions. All 343 had to do was put up one actual piece of armor and folks would be content. Kinda weird how beating all the MCC campaigns on Legendary net you Helioskril in 5, but we can’t get anything else with Infinite.

Halo 3, 3 ODST, 4, and MCC all had legendary rewards (MCC’s reward being in Halo 5 as the Helioskrill).
Were armor rewards always that important to Halo players? I remember playing Halo 4 on legendary knowing that the only difference will be a second of seeing Chiefs eyes but…I FINALLY GOT TO SEE HIS EYES HELL YEAH! Lmao . For me the legendary was always just for the fans who wanted to have a bigger challenge and for them they added little teaser at the ends. If people now only play it on legendary for cosmetics than that tells a lot about how invested people actually got into the story/lore there.
After all, that little audio we get could be considered a big deal, that used to get people hyped asf lol
But maybe they come up with new hellish Vidmaster challenges
