Beating it on Legendary

I’m going to try and work my way through this on Legendary at the weekend and I have no doubts I will fail in spectacular fashion lol

Anyone got any tips on beating this on legendary or want to help me? Or you could just watch me fail over and over

Legendary is easy, you will be fine

Just use power weapons, and the precision weapons. Or you can just do old plasma pistol combo.

I stared legendary with the weekly challenges so I wouldn’t go insane

Use precision weapons and power weapons with a combination of the plasma pistol.

Tips? Don’t push out like an idiot and let your shields recharge. Covenant aren’t too hard, noob combos, Needlers etc. Headshot grunts, Jackals and watch out for FRG wielding foes (these will be the hardest enemies to take out).

Promethean Knights get pwned by Suppressors but be smart against Battlewagons (don’t get too close or the Scattershot will own you). Take out any Watchers and Crawlers first as they are annoying and can cause you to die if you are not careful.

If you plan on using Boltshots, just be careful. They will pwn Crawlers but you’ll need to be careful around Knights. Weaken them a bit if you use the Charge shot and you’ll put them down in no time.

Binary Rifle Knights (Lancers) are easy if you use cover smartly and get in close. If they teleport after you, jump to the side and kill them afterwards.

Its very easy so don’t worry. Now LASO in the under hand, “Palm meets Face”

im gonna be sr 130 tomorrow so ill be continuing my mythic run afterwards so ill be hurting with ya haha. and as far as tips go. just look up skips and try to look for ways around areas so that you dont have to fight as much. also. duck and cover.

Tip #1: Try not to die.

> Tip #1: Try not to die.

wouldnt it be better to die often? youll learn much faster

Noob Combo destroys Elites and Prometheans alike.
A few maps will require you to rush through. One of these parts being when you must hit three switches, a crap ton of enemies on the ground, and a banshee on the hill. That part is extremely easy if you know what you’re doing. If you don’t, it will be a struggle. Hardest mission is mission 4. The others are pretty easy.

Plasma pistol is your new best friend.

light riffle is his wife.

and your primary targets are the watchers.

assassinating them is the most satisfying part of the game

> Tip #1: Try not to die.

and when that fails… try harder… /sarcasm, not really, you will die… a lot.

In all seriousness though, use Plasma pistols, make sure you are ready for a whirlwind of various rifles, lasers, and a certain incendiary cannon to be aimed at you during a lot of mission segments… because it is, and it’ll make you run around screaming like a banshee…

im surprised to see people say use the plasma pistol. i can see that its a great idea but i almost never used it. i preferred using the suppressor on knights and watchers.

Remember, some times you don’t have to stand your ground and fight. If you have an objective that dosn’t require you to kill several enemies then you can just sneak pass them.

Also, if you do have to stand and fight remember to use the right weapon for the right situation and remember try to keep a power weapon on you at all times for the heavy enemies and a utility weapon, of your choice, with a reliable ammo supply for the fodder.

And, take potshots and widdle them down to make them more manageble.

Same. The weapons are pretty strong in Halo 4 even on Legendary. The Plasma Pistol isn’t totally required to beat Legendary and it’s best to get weaned off of it because levels that have Promethean focused areas tend to NOT have any green guns lying around.

However, the basic rule of keeping a headshot capable weapon (even the Magnum) is going to increase your odds of survival by a whole lot.

Oh yeah unless you are hardcore (like me) skip most of Shutdown. Youtube it if you haven’t seen how yet
