beat to death? maybe.

first congratulations 343, awesome campaign could not have thought it better.
however for a remake? in at least system link you should have brought everything back, especially the maps that well you know came with the original game that you said you wanted to make feel the same as the first game did? i’m sorry but 32 rounds in the ar? that just isn’t right and the bloom? i’ve loved halo since i was 12 and a whiny baby but this, it just hurts. I know I know research this research that. but i still thought in the end i could have the game in and system link and play rat race or blood gulch shooting with those mammoth tanks cross map with my sis. you know something nostalgic. i’m thoroughly saddened by this “remake” if you can call it that seeing as it doesn’t have what the original did.

not every map needed to be remade we would have been fine with that. i believe everyone can agree? we just wanted the option to play what ever we wanted and quite frankly we don’t care about the graphics, just make the original halo xbox live compatable save all your fancy upgrades. i beg you, make an 11 year aniversary just simple and nothing fancy. more people will buy it, play it , love it. i might even yoink the hole in the disk if you do it

end result:
i’ll always love halo
i’ll always love bungie
i’ll always buy the books and games
and i will always hate the marketing world which controls it all

again thanks for the sweet campaign that was nostalgic for me especially silent cartographer, good deal.
enjoy!

With all due respect, you can just as easily play the original Halo 1. There is a PC version of it that supports online multiplayer and still has quite a few players using it.

with all due respect, if i wanted to play the pc version i wouldn’t have bought a console, and neither would any of us i believe.
as i said, great campaign, sad about the multi.

Considering how abysmal Reach’s MP is, i am surprised 343 did as good as they did with the Anniversary settings. Remember, they are always looking for user feedback and it’s our job as fans to relay any changes we want to them :). So while the settings may not be up to spec, they can always improve later down the road.

that’s what i’m hoping for

Not to mention that most skull effects can be reproduced by modding.
