I started the Campaign on Legendary straight away. I have just reached Forerunner and havn’t actually died yet, that’s not snailing through either, been going at a pretty decent speed.
I am really hoping the Prometheans give me a harder time. It’s not just that I don’t want to race through the Campaign too quickly but I also want to know I have a consistent challenge with Spartan Ops and replaying Campaign.
I completed the game solo legendary in around 9hrs, it wasn’t to difficult to complete on legendary mainly last few levels had some hard bits but not stuck on the same part for to long. The knights are most difficult to kill best to take them out from ranged before you run in.
The story, imo, fell flat in a couple of places. Knowing what I do of Halo canon from novels and Forward Unto Dawn, the game’s story was great, but I think it should’ve done a better job explaining who the Didact and Librarian were, because I could see players who aren’t as familiar with the canon of the books being really confused by the first few missions of the game.
They also should’ve (aside from in the Thursday War) conveyed how the Storm differ from the Covies defeated in Halo 3.
Aside from those few problems, everything was ridiculously well executed. My one gripe is that Chief had a great opportunity to recite one of his best lines:
In the Pelican mission, when Chief is about to jump onto the Lich, I was expecting Cortana to ask him “What if you miss?”, to which he would, of course, reply “I won’t”.While it’s not story related, it felt like a missed opportunity to evoke some serious nostalgia.

I found my “go to” combo for Prometheans in general to be any sort of precision utility weapon (preferably the BR or Light Rifle) and the Railgun (for how easily it wrecks Knights from long range).
